Which Mod for me?

I'm kind of in the same boat as the OP sticking pretty much with the 510 but interested in a mod, but I'm pretty close to a decision: Going with the Xhaler. The Chuck is quite interesting with its customization, and the 905 (Which is a Chinese Screwdriver knockoff) for $57 at Nhaler.com is an absolute steal, but the Xhaler with a 510 adaptor and 5V seems like the "sweet spot" as far as I'm concerned.

An important point that seems to be missed by many is variable voltage. A lot of mods just use one 3.7v battery which means that the only difference between that and a regular PV is the mAH rating of the battery (less time between charges). For me, I'm okay with my recharge cycle (I carry at least 2 batteries and a PCC and I'm good all day) so the only advantage a mod like that would give is a little more consistency...but after tasting Drew's HV juices and hearing that running at higher voltages (with 5v being considered the "sweet spot" by most reviews I've seen) produces even more vapor with stronger flavor--THAT is an upgrade that is worth having as far as I can tell.

My cart is loaded and ready to check out, Santa. *hint* *hint*

Currently I have it narrowed down to:

The lil chuck
The Bart
The Spade

All of which looks like can be used with my Joye510 attys that I already have and carts.
No one ever answered my question to 901 carts juice holding amounts vrs the 510. So I threw out the door the stuff that makes you use 901 or 801 stuff.

The Stick looks like a box. My nosy neighbors would love to have me committed or have the police come check out what I have in the box. So not interested in anything that looks like a box. Plus I have never been into the square/rectangle shape. LOL!

3.7v I have been happy with on my 510, so I guess that is why I think I'll stick to 3.7.

I will be active. I am very active in the warmer months. I am not willing to take the time to unscrew an atty only to have to screw it back on in order to take a drag. So I will be carrying it in my front shirt pocket with atty fully engaged.

Now knowing that will any of those three give me a problem and melt down or blow up in my pocket? :)

I'll tell you what I know. The Bart is a box but the police wouldn't have a problem with it and it's more of a stealth 'hold' - fits easily in the palm - except for the vapor it produces isn't stealthy at all. It comes with 2 14500 batts - and uses 1. It lasts me a day, but I use other PVs - Protege and mega 510's but the Bart gets the most work. (take the other battery along charged and you'd never be without vape if you're day runs long.

You can also order a charging cord with it - usb to mini usb which you'll need unless you already have a charger that changes those batts. But the Bart has an internal charger so the charging cord acts as a passthrough as well. When at home I have mine hooked up to a usb wall plug and in the car - a usb lighter plug - The plugs have to be 1amp for best vaping as a PT. Since you already have the attys and carts then that's all you'll need. See here with suggestions:

As far as your question on the 510 vs. the 901 carts they are virtually the same size - I use 901 carts on my 510 attys - flat (whistle) tip in the '0' style where there is rounded edges and flat edges.

The Bart will hold top voltage (@4.1+v for hours) in my experience and unless you're looking for the ultimate throat hit that voltage should suit you. And for performance you can't beat the price.

Oh yeah, it has an on/off switch for carrying so no meltdown in the pocket - if you use it, which you should when carrying. And the batteriers are protected type - so no blowing up either. (less likely....ymmv and stuff).

I hate to really suggest another one for you to consider after you've narrowed things down..but I'm gonna give you another model to take a look at that has made it onto my short list..
Have a look at the Super-Six from Super T Manufacturing. Heres a link to the thread for it on here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ng/49049-super-six-super-t-manufacturing.html

I like the fact that it's all mechanical and has a lockable switch to prevent misfires, safety vent holes in case of battery accident..and just appears to be quality made machined mod..

I am such a dork. I need to revise my list. I did not mean the Bart. I meant the BB. DOH!!

The lil chuck
The BB
The Spade

Right now The Spade is in the lead as I love the LED's. I am just hesitating over the shorter battery life compared to the others. The VP2 is also pretty cool looking but for some reason I like the black color better of The Spade. Man, I did not know it would be so tough weighing battery life as opposed to size.

Jante eGo. There is a video somewhere of Mick from Jante using one. btw... I do not own any Jante products, but some people seem to like them.

This is a USA pre-order item olny. They should be delivered before Christmas. I belive the Dura atomizer from Jante is a 510. I may be wrong though.

I could find no price on the ego. Well heck not much info at all on it. Is the dura 510 atty the same as the Joye510 atty even? Looks nice. But no info yet as to what comes with it, battery run time, and so on.

About the SD. I have the 510 because cart size hold a lot of ejuice and with the pbt cart mod i can go a few hours with out topping. What is the 901 cart size compared to the 510? Also I have no 901 supplies what so ever.

Keep the suggestions coming folks please. I would like to be well informed.

Thank You to those that have made suggestions so far.

If I was going to spend the money for longer 3.7v battery life then I wouldn't buy anything less than a 14500 size battery mod. One of the smallest 14500 mods I can think of is the Protege, also the Nautilus seems nice for the price. The BB is larger. The Little Chuck is (16340 battery) is larger still. The Spade and GG Slim IMHO do not have a big enough battery (10440). The Bartleby does appear to be one of the best buys out there but it is a box. Good luck with your decision.

If the eGo or the Spade has USB charging on board (a la the Janty Stick) I'd pitch all my PV's and go soley to it. I love the functionalty of the JS (w/510 adapter) but th would really prefer a form factor like the Spade / eGo (more socially acceptable?)

BTW - I still use my 510 w/ Mega batts and a penclip every day. It fits in my top pocket and is on me all the time. The JS is used in the car almost exclusively with the USB plugged in for all-the-time power. My PureSmoker PT (at 5v) is my desk/office vape.

Oh and one more thing. All of those three comes with everything you need correct? I do not want to have to get something from here, there, and everywhere. I'm kind of a one place loyal dude.

Just an FYI, the Little Chuck does NOT come with batteries. I own a regular Chuck and would strongly recommend the Chucks, but if you do order that make sure you order the appropriate batteries. Don't let this dissuade you from ordering the Chuck (some of the other mods may be the same way, I'm not sure), this also let's you choose how good of a battery you are willing to purchase based on you budget instead of just getting the one included with the mod, which may or may not be exactly the one you want.

If you buy one, maybe you can put up a video showing it's actually dropping 5v to the atty... apparently no one else can  When the creator/proprietor/whatever uses the logic "I spent thousands developing it, trust me!" instead of putting together a two-minute video, you can't help being skeptical...

I would like to Thank everyone for all your opinions. I will hold onto this thread for future reference. But due to unforeseen expenses that is likely to keep on continuing (thanks to my youngest son 20 yo) I will be going with either mega batts or something like the bart. Anyone got a link to the bart site? (sigh)
