I want a 260 watt mod the size of a small vape pen or cigalike. Possible?
I just want a 650 mAh device the size of a cigarette.
And the weight of a cigarette.

And yeah, 10 watts if enough for me.
I really don't need any more than that on my 2.2ohm standard 510 atomizers I use to drip with.

That may never happen though.

I don't understand why anyone needs 260 watts.
But then I don't understand why Justin Beiber is still relevant either.

Yes, given the technology arch, if you are 30 now it will be around by the time you are 50.

Justin was never really relevant unless you were a 10 year old girl. Much like Miley, Nikki Manaj, Kanye West and the Kardashians. Hopefully they will just be an embarrassing footnote lost in the annals of humanity.

There are an awful lot of 10 year old girls in this world.
Which is why the best contestant on American Idol doesn't always win.

Well, my cell phone currently has more memory than my first desktop computer did, and my cell phone camera takes better quality photos than my first (really expensive!) digital camera did…so anything is possible. I remember when a "cell phone" was this big leather bag you carried in your car that had a telephone receiver on a spiral cord attached to it, and being AMAZED at the invention of the first "flip phone" that was approximately the size and weight of a brick, and thinking that the technology couldn't possibly get any smaller.

Vaping technology seems to be moving pretty fast. I'm excited about what new things might come out in the next few years, since I too like smaller devices with more power.

Eleaf I stick mini --> Eleaf Istick Mini Express Kit - Vapor Tek USA

Not an affiliate link, not one for that kind of junk.

Mini iStick is a tinier and simplified version of the original iStick. Its length is only 52mm (approximately 2.1 inches) making it a perfect fit for the palm of your hand and easy to store in your pocket even while an atomizer is attached. The battery capacity is 1050mAh despite its diminutive stature and it can handle up to 10W. The battery display indicator on top allows you to easily see remaining charge. With the Mini iStick, you will be able to carry a pocket friendly device while still enjoying a satisfying vape!

I would not mind having one of these. I currently use Innokin gear, MVP2 and ItasteV3. Like the itasteV3 for reminding me of the Ego style 900mAh batteries, yet it's square! :) These Eleaf's seem really nice though. Think one of these would do me just fine. They have others which are 20W. I shake my head and wonder if someone is sending a tank into space. Don't see a need for the extra power, but that's just me.

First there is a breakthrough, then there is gradual improvement till the limits of that particular technology has been reached.
Silicium chips are multi-core now, for single core is just about there where it can be handled. Smaller, denser, research is looking at gallium-arsenide and optical chips. Still in its infancy, but a lot of money goes in R&D. Same with cellphones. Or remember the first portable computers? Lugging them around saved you trips to the gym - ot necessitated them to develope enough muscle to lift them ;)

Mods have come quite a way. In fact, we've got decent hardware now because of high performance batteries. Decade ago there wasn't anything available to deliver what we need. Using electricity to generate heat is - comped to what else it can do - horribly inefficient.

And pushing limit too fast too hard does have is risks .... Remember the battery issues that grounded the Boeing 787 ---- their equivalent to a mod blowing up in your face....

I bought an iStick Mini because I thought the same way you do.
And yes, it is pretty nice, but I'll mostly be staying with my Ego Twists.

I just like the feel of the Twists better.
But the extra battery life on the Mini is nice to have.

NOTE: I use 650 mAh Twists because I am all about smaller

I have an iStick as well as a few 650mAh Twists and Spinners.

I also have a 400mAh Vision Spinner. It is one of my Favorite PV's. Perfect to carry around in a Shirt Pocket.

I don't necessarily want smaller. One day vap mods and light sabers will come together in one convenient tool, the way cell phones and computers have. Kyber crystals will power both and you'll have a convenient tool on your belt for vaping without having to worry about recharging one minute and a the same tool for cutting through anything the next.

I got a Variant box mod and an Itaste VTR. 260 watts.. They both weight about a pound. Thats too heavy. Barely portable or could fit in a pocket. I want a mod a fraction the size with the same or better power. Will ecig mods and its battery ever improve like the way cell phones have done over the past 30 years?

The ecig mod batteries developed BECAUSE of the battery technology driven by the cellphone industry.
The same battery technology also helped the remote copter toy application I suppose.

Oh ye those lipos can unleash a metric ton of power in a very short amount of time. You can 'drain the tank' much quicker than a comparatively sized/weighted combustion engine with accompanying fuel tank.

I think battery tech is snowballing. The better they get, the more applications (and thus demand) arise. My interests are more in the off-the-grid applications. Picture a small 3-5kg backpack being able to process water, cook food and keep you heated for a week or more. Or an off-road EV being able to do so for months.
