Hi everyone! I've lurked these forums for a long time, have been vaping exclusively for 2 and a half years now, and have just broke my last PV. Here's the breakdown.

I started my vaping journey with a **cringe** Smoking Everywhere RN4081 this badboy cost an arm and a leg and was quickly rendered useless, but got me to try and consider vaping. Then I found this forum and moved onto my next PV; a 510 manual batt setup with cartos and atomizers. Was able to kick analogs with this setup but was sucking these like pacifiers and figured there had to be a better way.

My wife bought me my first mod, the Chuck. I still remember my bewildered amazement on the plumes of vapor @ 6v and throat hit like getting a roundhouse by Chuck Norris. He lasted me a long time and took alot of abuse. I had to re-solder the button a few times, i got fed up and couldn't fix it so i chucked it. Then I bought a VV box mod from Madvapes.com, small, cheap, discreet, and got the job done. Lasted about 6 months and just died, so now I need a new PV.

My wants are: MASSIVE vapor production (without having to take a 30sec drag), good battery life, and some ruggedness.

I'm looking at a Zmax v2, Evic, or a Provari V2. Hardest thing for me on the Provari is the cost, anyone have any input or other mods I should check out that are able to meet my wants? Thanks again for reading and replying!:pop:

LMAO @ throat hit like getting a roundhouse by Chuck Norris. I Personally like my eVic with all the personalization you can do with it. I've dropped my eVic quite a few times getting out of my car as i always put my evic on my lap. still works and runs like a champ.
I paid 89 shipped when it first came out. The price is great for including a battery and charger.

Batteries dont actually contribute that much to the amount of vapor you get; as long as its the same voltage all batteries are more or less the same.

What you want is a good delivery system, like cartomizers and atomizers and what not, i.e. the thing you screw onto your battery. For starter you can look at the Vivi Nova - i am a big advocate of them, they are so easy to use, last a long time, and give excellent vapor/ throat hit/ flavor.

For batteries, it sounds like a Zmax or a Vamo with an 18650 battery would fit you.

The V2's price tag sure is a hard pill to swallow at first. It was the main reason I held off for a good 3 months before purchasing one but when it arrived in the mail and I fired it up for the first time, only then could I see why people speak so highly of it. Build quality (in my experience, is great)

The way I see it is that we are all ex smokers here and everybody knows how much of a money pit smoking is, therefore you can justify the high initial cost of purchasing any mod or piece of equipment.

@Peruvian Good to know the Evic is durable, I had my reservations there. Was wondering about the gusto of power delivery, in your opinion can it pack a punch on standard 2 ohm cartos?

@ BigDog Thanks for the tip, i'll check out the Vamo, i've read about it on some other ecf posts but have yet to actually look at it.

@ Kanj.nguyen I love my vivi nova, i'm currently on tank #2, just learned the hard way to avoid cinnamon juice in the tank lol.

@Ryan1888 We're you referring to the provari or the Zmax v2?

Hi Codemonkey,
I summarised 4 of the main ones on my blog if you're interested:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ariable-wattage-variable-voltage-mod-get.html

The Sigelei Zmax is considered the better of the Zmax's. I have a Smoktech v2 Zmax that has served me well though.

Still feel bad getting equipment that I really dont need though. Either way, it is better than the 90 bucks that I used to spend per week on analogs :toast:

I sometimes use 2.1 ohm cartos and vape at 9.2 watts. I get some nice vapor out of it.

The iTaste MVp is a good mod - lot of satisfied users. it doesn't have a replaceable battery, but it does have a big battery. BTW - added some video reviews in to the blog post - just an FYI.

For durability I'd say the Segelei Zmax or Innokin SVD might suit you. The MVP is durable too from what I've read by users.
Sigelei Zmax here for $90:
Sigelei Zmax - Complete Kit

But will ship in two weeks time. Its out of stock most places - and the delay will be due to the Chinese New year holiday hold up - which is over now.

I see you want "MASSIVE vapor production (without having to take a 30sec drag), good battery life, and some ruggedness.". I'd say those woud fit the bill - vapor production being dependent on your attachment and the VG content of your juice too. :)

Too late Kiwivap I think you already swayed me along with Bigdog towards the Vamo, plus everywhere I look the Zmax is backordered and I have no patience hehe :D. Bells and whistles for minimal cost. Plus I can save some dough along the way and get some of those other mods you guys suggested. The provari will be mine one day, but I really like the idea of VW.

Thanks to everyone for your prompt responses and opinions! I'll post again when I've got my new setup going.

The Vamo is is a good pv too. I like mine. The VW is a nice feature to have.
