Lol didn't expect my thread to start all this discussion. Im glad to see there are different point of views out there. I guess there is no right or wrong device just a matterof taste. Kinda reminds me of the Apple vs Android debate lol

Exactly! Or Mac vs Windows. All of this angst over a battery tube! lol All that really matters to ME is that YOU keep vaping and never touch a stinky again. Period! I don't care what device you use. I don't care what your delivry system is. Just find your comfort level, ignore some of the "noise" and the fan boy bloviating, and carefully evaluate the pluses and minuses of ALL Mods and continue to vape. Repeat! ALL MODS have pluses and minuses.

:)

Hers is a v2.5, mine was a version 2.0 blem. We experience the same airflow problem with smok Pyrex carto tanks. I ended up exchanging mine for a v 2.5. We would like to try out air flow controllers, maybe this would help. Might not look as good but hopefully it will improve performance.

Yeppers. The air flow controller will not only open up your draw on this application, but can also tighten the draw on other applications like a too airy Protank, or whatever. Use mine all the time, depending on topper.

I came close to buying a ProVari but decided to try a less expensive alternative. I went with a Vamo, which I loved until it stopped working after 7 months. Still I liked it enough that I replaced with a V3 version and hopefully I'll get longer use out of it. The Vamo does everything I'd ever want so no need to look further... except that it's BIG... too big to take out of the house, at least for me. The answer was a Smoktech Winder (several others like it, but that's the one I choose), which fills the bill very nicely.

At present I don't have anything I'd want to see that I'm not currently getting.

Provari's are very nice indeed! I have a Mini 2.5 but it just sits collecting dust for the most part as I am mainly a pure mechanical user..

I refuse to buy cheap mods or clones. Cheap mods don't last as long and can actually drive people away from vaping if they are new. They think "wow, this is vaping, it's horrible" and go back to analogs..

Clones are just a blatant rip off of someones work / design and I will never support their thievery..

My .02 is get a well made PV from a known manufacturer and vape away.. The cheap stuff is just not worth the headaches..

The ProVari IMHO is one of, if not the best made VV PV on the planet! It's high quality and will last forever if properly cared for.

i don't see why price is ever the issue with provari's, since i got mine i decided to not waste money on the vamo v1/vamo v2/vamo v3/vmax/zmax/sigelei vmax/sigelei zmax/tesla/tesla clone/sid/evic/and probably many others, so buying a provari saved me a ton of money and in all honesty working in a warehouse i would've probably broke all those mods by now and would have no way to fix them other than buying a new mod.

I'm new to vaping, about 2 1/2 months in, and I've had exactly 2 setups, my eGo set that I started with and the MVP I upgraded to. I spend an inordinate amount of time in these forums, reading and comparing and researching, and watching reviews (the oh-so-famous pbusardo mostly), and I see a lot of back and forth about all these other mods. The thing that sticks out most in watching peoples' arguments over the Provari is that the detractors don't seem to have much to say negative about it beyond price and nebulous arguments over name recognition and status consciousness. The lack of VW, I guess, but even most folks that bring that up say it's a relatively minor issue with them. I don't have a Provari, can't afford one right now, and honestly am more likely to get a Reo if I did decide to spend that kind of money, but you have to respect a US based company with the kind of universal recognition of quality and performance that the Provari has. Not being very well off, I get what some folks are saying about price, but seriously, just about every tech product out there has expensive but super reliable standbys, and cheap yet feature rich alternatives that try to make up for lack of quality by cramming in features. Folks can argue this till they are blue in the face, but some folks will be willing to pay for the reliability and others won't be able to get past the price. Whatcha gonna do? As others have said many times, haters gonna hate.

lol any mention of provari seems to have that effect here, no matter what context it is used in.

Cheaper mods over the ProVari are a dime a dozen, in my wife and I case we started with an Ego twist and 1 Itazte as a back up, the Ego (both) stop working 3 weeks after we bought it but, as long as I'm around I have to say THANK YOU to the Ego twist for helping me stop 38 years of analogs and 25 years for the wife.

We bought 2 ProVaris and we haven't looked back since. I go out every morning to work, drop a fuly charge AW IMR 18650 battery in my Regular ProVari with an extension, fill my Phiniac tank or my 22mm IBtanked with my favorite juice and I'm set for the entire day and have the confidence that I will be vaping all day without any back up.

I'm kind of new here but, I don't know why the fuzz over the ProVari, I have read Mechanical going for 5 times the price of a ProVari, have to get on a list, get up a pray to the all mighty that you make the list and then wait 6 months to get it. I don't see many threads complaining about it.

Bottom line, what ever works for you to stay away from the analogs is worth any amount of money you wish to pay. To Mr. BILLBECKUSA, I'm trying to hide that collection that you posted from my wife, if she see that collection I will be in the poor house soon!! LOL
