Ok, i've been smoke free for almost 3 weeks (Woohoo!!) and i'm loving every moment of vaping. I've got the bug and I can't wait any longer for a mod.

I need help!

Which one do i get. i'm not going to wait for the helix or shock wave lottery. I agree with what Cisco says, that you really don't need variable voltage because once you figure out your sweet spot you are going to stay there (that makes perfect sense)

I've got a AWESOME 5v pass through and a 3.7 Ego with Low res atty's (it's good.. better then a standard 3.7. both 5v and low res on 3.7 feel the same) I truly think my sweet spot will be a 6v mod with capability to go back down to 3.7 for my LR 307 atty's.

Which one should i get though?

a very cool guy told me to go ahead and get the silver bullet. But, i asked him a serious question. Is the silver bullet out of date?
He told me he has the prodigy and the joker and the SB is still his mod of choice. I truly believe if the BB was capable of going to 6v i'd probably go to that mod but it's not anymore :(

So i ask you guys. Which one should i get? I've read all the ultimate mod guides and though i appreciate them (i really do) i want OPINIONS because this is where i take most of my advice from.

Any suggestions? please? lol

Also, it's going to be a 6v (theres no doubt about that. my only 5v purchase now will be when missy dishes out the 5v wetbox in a few weeks.) is there a particular atty i should be recommended?

I used to hate to drip tip because of all the liquid i'd get in my mouth. But, i'm told if i get a 6v i'll seldom have that problem once it hits the atty cause it burns so quick.

I want one that doesn't leak (or atleast not that much... lol)

HELP!

I haven't gotten into mods yet (yet...), but I have been looking at the GLV2 a lot lately. You can get a 6v from them. I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I thought I'd throw that out there.

yeah i saw grimm greens review of it. I Just don't like the frekkin look for some reason (and i'm really not sure why) i'm going to watch 2 more reviews on it and see if i change my mind on the look.

Thanks for the advice 8)

The 510 yeti i found to be the best and best for the $$! I got the starter set for 36 bucks free shipped..and the replacement battery is 45 bucks for 5 and 5 replacement atomizers is 25 bucks free shipping! this is the all around best ecig.. i had the Volcano, Blu, Ruyan cigar and some cheap throwaway. The Volcano I think is the 510..

I'm using Maxi Rough Stack at the moment, you can do 3.7, 6v and 7.4 on it I'm very pleased with it especially for $50. That said I'm going to give the vari volt a try too. The maxi is a tough deal to beat though unless you DIY.

Thanks for the response man. The rough stack has definately been on my mind because of the price and the durability (I'd definately bring that to a fight. LOL)
I'm not a HUGE fan of where the button is located, but it's definately a nice mod. That being said, If I were going to go with something for that type of durability i think I might have to lean towards the helix (Old school styllllllle!!) does the same thing as the roughstack essentially with the same type of durability, and the price of 50.00 bucks you can't really beat.

I appreciate the advice though. on my lunch break i think i may do a few more youtube review views on the rough stack to get a better idea. THANKS TO YOU SIR!!

hey watch out on the big volts they will eat 2X the amount of ejuice. i am a heavy smoker and go through 10ml a day at 3.7 volts

Haha that's alot of juice! thanks man i'll definately take your advice. I really don't mind the amount of juice i use just aslong as i'm pleased with the temp of the vapor and the amount of throat hit on a lower Nic mill.

I've heard if your on 11-18 mg nic, you will still get a good throat hit if you go all the way down to 6-8 on a 6v (which is extremely appealing to me)

I appreciate all your advice so far though BL. thanks man 8)

One upcoming mod looks very interesting and I am considering placing an order for. It is the PRO-VARI from provape.

No battery changing and it will allow you to set the voltage you want using a built in meter. The joker is similar but the meter is extra and not as easy as the Pro-vari looks.

I would venture to say we will see a lot more mods like the Pro-Vari in the future.

Now the next MOD to look for would be a Wetbox with Adjustable Voltage and a meter built in.

The Mods I have and like are Prodigy V3.1 (6 Volt and 3.7 Batteries), Precise 3.7 and Tornado (3.7).

I dilute to 12 mg and its a fair throat hit.. 18mg is ideal. Yeah quit a few posters here who have the monster voltage ecigs burn through the juice twice as fast. i have ruyan cigar with near 7 volts and it burns through ejuice much faster then my 510 3.7.. i think the higher volt give a richer flavor and by far a more powerful throat hit. I smoke in my ruyan cigar a Cuban-honey-555 mix diluted 50% with VP..its a very richer flavor and powerful throat hit then if I used the same formula in my 510

You could always make a 5 volt puck mod. They're easy to make and you can get everything but the atty from Radio Shack. It uses 4 regular NiMH rechargeables.

hey cape, yeah I love 5v's on my pass through (really feels alot warmer than a 3.7 volt and vape output and taste have changed drastically to a 3.7) but even with 5v I think i'd ENJOY vaping even more on a 6v mod.

I use my PT everywhere, my car, my desk and my home. Love it. But, again i think my eyes are stuck on a 6v upgrade.

Thanks for the advice though man 8) the next 5v mod i get will most definately be the new 5v wet box mod by missy when she gets around to releasing them in a few weeks 8)

Ok, so the pro vari to me seems like the one i'd HOLD OUT FOR. but only because it's variable voltage. And, since i've got a 3.7 and a 5v i'm pretty sure i won't really even need to use the variable voltage. YES it's cool to be able to push a few buttons on your mod and BAM your at your sweet spot. But, once you find that sweet spot, your really only going down in voltage just to test a juice on a lower v, right?

So, in that case, in my box of stuff i've got my ego laying around. Yeah, the provari is definately something that's going to rock. But essentially, it's going to be followed up by the pulse (hahaha whens the launch date?) the helix (just around the corner) and of course the shockwave (which, in my opinion LOOKS like the sexiest mod to come out)

So, variable voltages are AS appealing to me as just a sexy looking 6v that you can bring down to 3.7 with the proper batteries.

But i really appreciate your advice. the prodigy i've been looking into aswell. It's pretty nice 8)

HELP!

I have a BB I bought only a couple months ago and it can take protected cr2's. I personally find 6V to be too hot. IT does work well with a 4.5 ohm atty. I am currently using the BB with Cr2's and a terminator attached to change the voltage. I'm usually around 5.25V with a standard atty. I don't need the terminator with a 4.5 ohm atty.

So many mods out there. Good luck with your search, I hope yoiu get something you love.

Personally I can't wait for the Darwin.

It def looks like it would take some getting used to. But, then again coming from an Ego all the buttons would take getting used to (mod wise) i'm coming from the ego aswell so i may take your advice a bit more seriously then most now! lol

I enjoy 6 volt vaping, I went with the Prodgy v3.1 because of its size and to convert to a 3.7 all I had to do was change the batteries. Most of the 6 volt MODS are pretty big and not something you want to stroll around with in the mall. Someone might mistake them for a pipe bomb.

If you are going to use it outside the home than size might be a consideration.

I also went with the Precise because of its size. So far I love both MODS.

But the Prodigy produces a nice warm vape. But requires HV atomizers and cartomizers.

I too went from the Tornado which is basically an EGO. I got use to the button the first day.
