Which Nicotine Ratio Is Best To Purchase For Flexibility

They tell me amber is better because it blocks more light. Still, I keep this stuff in the refrigerator and I'm reasonably sure the light goes out when I close the door. Don't know how to test that light though.

Do you put your mixed juice in the fridge too or just your supplies & flavorings?

My first orders of nicotine was 100% pg, I decided on 48mg/ml for the strength.

When I made that first batch of orders I wanted to start with something lower than 100mg/ml for the whole get used to being safe with the liquid, a lower nicotine content is quite a bit more forgiving.

I don't use the juice calculators, an actual calculator does the trick for me.

If I want a 30ml bottle of 6mg/ml liquid using my 48mg/ml nicotine the math looks like this; (30×6)÷48=3.75ml of the 48mg/ml nicotine.
My next nicotine purchase will be 100mg/ml so the math for that to make 6mg/ml is; (30×6)÷100=1.8ml of the 100mg/ml nicotine.

I mix in several different proportions and nic levels for different devices. My standard for Kayfuns and rebuilt PT2's is 50-50 PG/VG at 1.2 mg/ml nic. For my drippers, I mix either no nic or .3 mg/ml and usually 70-30 VG/PG. I just can't take the throat hit with the extra nic and PG.

Generally speaking, more PG in a mix will carry more flavor, reduce vapor production, and provide a stronger throat hit. Nic content will also add to throat hit. When I mix higher VG content juice, I up the flavor % slightly as VG doesn't carry flavor as well as PG does.

I have found that using 100 mg/ml nic base in 100% VG carrier offers me the greatest flexibility when mixing, as most all flavors you will use are PG based. I can also mix at any nic level, and it is the most economical way to buy nic. Good luck with your mixing, and welcome to ECF!

Do you worry about the longevity of nicotine in VG vs. PG? My understanding is that VG base has a far longer storage life. With the whole vapocalypse looming and such...I'm just not sure.
