So Im vaping an Ego Twist @ ~4.2 volts. Ive dripped into 306 and 510 attys and I like both but want to upgrade to a tank or rba system..

The more I read about the different systems, the more I cant decide one which one to purchase...Heres what im looking at:

- A7, A8, A9. Dont know much about these systems. I see alot of people buying them though..

- Vivi Nova Mini. I see alot of different "vivi novas" but are they all the same essentially? Are these outdated yet?

-Vision Eternity. Not really diggin the rba's YET but if it really vapes better then most then I want it..

- Kanger Protank Looks promising.

- Boge F16 - For some reason I think Boge makes good stuff yet I have never used any Boge attys.

- Smoktech DCT (locking). This is the one Im really looking at because I can easily replace the cartos but the problem is, I can only seem to find the 510 cartos in 1.7ohms... I would get this tank if I could find cartos in at least 2ohms.

Im steering away from dual coils because I heard they arent that great and dont work well with the ego..

So! whats my best bet here!?

PS. Looking for a Canadian webshop

Unless you are planning on advancing to a mod with replaceable batteries, I'd shy away from any RBA. If I'm not mistaken the Eternity and A9 are RBA's.

No experience with the Kanger Protank. I was pretty disappointed with my experiences with any string wicked delivery device like the Vivi Nova's and clearomizers; I found them to be inconsistant, to often mute flavors, and they are position dependent. To avoid dry hits you must frequently tip your delivery device sideways to keep the wicks wet as the juice level falls in the tank (annoying to me).

My preference would be a cartotank. Once past the slight learning curve, they are very consistant comparatively, are not position dependent, and have been the best juice delivery device I've found for the best flavor production. Proper pre-filling of the cartomizer and proper vaping techique are the keys to using cartotanks. I've written a cartotank tutorial in addition to other subjects that you should find useful in my blog articles which you can find here:

E-Cigarette Forum - Baditude - Blogs

Just curious why you are interested in the locking DCT tanks? I have been using cartotanks for almost a year and have never had an incident of a tank sliding off one of my mods. If you search the tanks subforum, you'll see a fair number of posters who have been having issues with flooding in both of the two locking tanks currently out on the market. I recommend the IBTanked pyrex tank or the new Skinny Phinny's from Phiniac. There's a complete review of the IBTanked in my blog.

You'll see over a dozen online vendors listed in one of the blog articles that sell single coil, pre-punched cartomizers, as well as the Safe Vaping Power Chart to determine what ohm cartomizer to purchase for your Twist.

Baditude, I checked out IBTanked site and wow do they ever have a cool selection!
Although I was looking at their tubes and they look different then the tubes on the "complete tank" page. Is it just the way the light is being refracted making the design look diffferent?? I might just get one of those + caps + cartomizer. (as opposed to buying the complete tank system that has the 3.2 ohm carto and drip tip included which I dont need)

How do they compare to the Smok DCTs? I do like the fact that I can use Standard size cartomizers for the 19mm tank... makes it nice and small.

And thanks alot for the blog writeup..very helpful!

The tank tubes offered in the complete kit are exactly the same as if you order the tubes and caps separately. Were you looking at the fancier painted tubes? Same tubes, just painted. You can order one of the painted tubes for a complete tank kit or as an item ordered separately if they attract your eye.

I prefer pyrex over polycarbonate plastic. Pyrex is an inert material, meaning it will not influence the flavor of your e-liquid. Some people can taste "plastic". This is the reason pyrex is used in cooking utensils and in finer restuarants. It is also completely safe to use with any of the volatile flavored e-liquids such as cinnamon and citrus flavors and so you never need to worry if any juice you use will crack or melt the plastic used in DCT tanks.

Given you are using a Twist:

#1) Pro Tank
#2) F16
#3) 3.5 ML Vivi Nova

I started with the Vivi Nova's, overall good experience with the, however since I have purchased several Kanger Pro Tanks, I no longer am using the Vivi's, they are just back ups now. The Pro Tanks I have received have been perfect, no leaks in any of them, the vape is great for me. I don't mind them being "airy", the juice I vape works great with the pro tank. Good luck with your choices!

Went ahead and bought a Protank... 16 bucks + 8 for shipping.. HAD too.

I probably would have bought the IBTanked setup but they didnt have any acrylic caps in stock... I was looking at the Smok DCT and the F16 too but too many people said Protank so I just did it... was a close call for sure..

Im pretty psyched on this!

Thanks alot everyone!
