Conventional wisdom is neither. Only three companies actually produce 18650s. Everything else is a “rewrap” in which another company buys batteries that don’t make the top shelf bin from one of the three companies and resells them under their own brand. Worse they often exaggerate the power output of those cells. The only companies worth buying from if you have a choice are LG, Sony, or Samsung.

Samsung 30Q is manufacturer rated at 15A/3000mah. Mooch tested them and rated them 20A/3000mah. The 3000mah rating means long vape time for us Tootle Puffers and 20A means heavy load ratings for high wattage vapers. It's a good all purpose vape battery that I use often in rotation with LG HG2 and Sony VTC6.

I wouldn't use either. Surely you can find a better choice.

"Offbrand" 18650 batteries (anything not built by LG, Samsung, and Sony) are nothing but rewraps and will have exagerated amp ratings and will be the 2nd or 3rd bin rejects of the big three manufacturers. When you can buy authentic LG, Samsung, or Sony batteries for less $ than the rewraps, why waste your money for less performance?

Are You Using a Rewrap (Rebranded) Battery?

Liion has all the good batteries for around $5-6 each. Shipping for me was about $3 for 2 batteries. Buying 2 from them with shipping is only slightly more than buying 1 battery locally and its even cheaper than most online sites.

Why buy low quality batteries when you can buy good ones so cheap?
