The stock air hole on the RM2 is only about 1mm.

I've only used the RM2 so far but one thing I've noticed is that the draw can become tighter the closer I get the wick to the air hole. Sometimes even too tight for me and I have to move the wick back a little. I have mine drilled out to 1/16”.

That's how the AGA-T2 would work for me. It had a larger wick hole, and topped SS cable with the braided ceramic seemed to really restrict the airflow, which made it okay for me. I switched to KFLs pretty soon after and did not look back.

ckone what setup are you using in your KFLs.

I have only been vaping since last June and my "journey" has taken me through ALL the lower end gear. Vivi Novas, AGA stuff, eVods, pro tanks, t3s and the list goes on!! Then I splurged on a KFL+ and all was good with the world! I also purchased an Atomic RDA and figured out that dripping is actually a little bit better than the KFLs as far as flavor is concerned. I am not a sub-ohm throat pounder but more about the flavor. So with my Nemesis, Provari or Silver Bullets topped with KFLs or Atomic I was pretty happy. I knew the Atomic had a bit better flavor but being a dripper, it stayed at home.

Then I found the REO and the REO ECF thread. I researched the REO and thought to myself "This guy (Rob) is a genious"!! Basically a dripper with a tank. It was like my KFLs and Atomic had a baby!! It's a miracle!!

I was about to pull the trigger on a Grand and talk of a Woodvil run surfaced. Not being a throat pounder and liking the Woodvils a lot, I waited til the Woodys were available. I was fortunate enough to get two Woodys, a 18650 and 18490, and now had to get RDAs. I read all the threads and even talked to Rob before I decided on the brass RM2s for my new Woodys. The RM2 airflow is a bit tight. Compared to the KFL+ it is like having the airflow screw turned in a bit more than half way. I opened mine up with a #54 drill bit and that is absolutely perfect for me. I have had NO problems with the RM2. No leaking whatsoever, easy to build on and the brass looks absolutely perfect on the Woodys!

I realize there are other bottom fed RDAs and I've looked at all of them. Except for the IGO stuff, they all cost more than the RM2. The upper limit Chalice is 4 times more than the RM2 and you can't get them. Mark Bugs had a run avail Saturday and they lasted all of 4 mins.

Sorry for the long winded post!! It's early and I'm on my second cup of coffee. Green beer later!!!

Do not apologize for being long winded, that was very helpful, and exactly the kind of feed back I need.

I wrap braided ceramic wick with a 1.3 ohm 28 ga microcoil for the KFL+s.

I'm not a throat hit or lung hit type of person. I prefer flavor and smooth draws. I also change throughout the day from short to longer pulls.

I'm happy to hear the RM2 has worked well for you. It sounds like I would like it as well. I have been eyeing the IGO-S, which looks similar to RM2 without ceramic bottom, but small chamber too.

Anything that is NOT side air delivery will gurgle on a bottom feeder.

That appears to spot on. I will say that I have the SCAR set up as single coil and have been using it that way today. I have over filled the RDA once, where the liquid leaks from the air hole. Since then, I have been mindful of how long and how hard I press the bottle. No gurgling since. The SCAR has small tube that protrude from the deck, to right under the coil. This allows for quite a bit of liquid to fill the reservoir before overtaking those tubes. I think that's why this one doesn't gurgle like the others I have looked into. I think if the SCAR was redesigned as a single coil with the body being 14mm diameter or less, this would be the RDA I would be very happy with. As it stands, it's too wide, designed for dual coils, and as such has too much room in the chamber. Still very good so far.

I am struggling with ordering an RM2, as I do not want to pay another $10 shipping just because Rob dropped my order. Its crazy that I would spend $45 on an atty without much consideration, but the additional shipping bothers me. It's a principle thing. I do know that if I finally decide to get the. RM2, it will be after he has the sub-ohm parts available. My Grand seems to really show the lower conductivity compared to a Nemesis or other low resistance mod. The 1.3 ohm coil on the grand has a lag before production. When checked on a Nemesis, it heats quickly.

The shipping on an RM2 is only like $2.35 (or so). Just sayin'. It's only the $7.90 charge (or whatever it is, seven something) for the Reos, since they are insured and signature required. That said, I really believe the RM2 will NOT disappoint.
That's certainly good to hear! Thank you! A RM2 is in my near future.

No worries! I thought I'd share. My last order, in the excitement of the Woodvil sale, I forgot the RM2 on the order. I was surprised and happy to see the reduced shipping charge for the small items. I like a tight draw myself, and I find the RM2 "perfect" at 1.2ohms--my sweet spot for the 1mm stock hole.

i run a modified Scar now and then on a milled (or LP) Reo Grand, and i plugged the bottom holes just above the 510 thread with superglue, since they serve no purpose other than to make it leak.

The air is side drawn and then split into the "pipes" for want of a better description that each coil sits above. It's not my style of coil and nor is an Igo-S, since all you can build on them are microcoils and i don't! The posts compared to an RM2 are very close.

Mackman is right about the size of the RM2 hole - it is 3/64" and stock, for the coils you make - it's a great vape. I'd suggest you drill it only after consideration of the draw. I ran mine as it was for months before even thinking about drilling it and that was because i like sub-ohm coils.
