What diameter coil do you use?

I just rebuilt an EVOD head using a 1/16th diameter nail. 7 wraps of 32 AWG Kanthal A-1 with one boiled strand of that yarn for wick and no flavor wick at all. The coil reads 2.4 ohms and on my SVD at 6.0watts it vapes like a steam engine.

EDIT: Thought I should add that I built that coil micro style. All of the coils are touching each other, not spread out. I leave the nail in the coil until I have locked the leads down to make sure the coil lines up perfectly with the wick slots. Then remove the nail and insert the wick.

What size flavor wick would be best for a 50/50 blend the 0.6mm or 1.0mm?

Peaches and Cream Ecru yarn from Walmart is what I use as a flavor wick. I use 50/50 exclusively.

If starting with a stock "factory" coil head... pop off the "chimney" (center post), wash parts in hot running water, let the original two small flavor wicks just wash down the drain, but make sure they do come out. Shake, then blow the water out of the base part. Put one drop of e-juice on the wick at the coil. Hold yarn down into slots with thumb and forefinger, put one drop of e-liquid on yarn. Replace chimney post, clip yarn on both sides, re-assemble into a tank full of juice, wait a few minutes, vape.

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid ? but is this yarn about same width as a stocked flavor wick?Heard many people using this for RBA and such with great success.Unfortunately haven't dived into rebuilding yet busy schedule but maybe someday...will this burn to the point u are inhaling something u shouldn't?Dryburn when needed and can't save the flavor wicks to well from that is why needing some now.I use only one flavor wick with evods and PT2 and always have extra one from stock coils but about to run out.You getting better flavor from the yarn vs the silica?TIA,Dale
