Sort of yes, I'm going to mount the switch in tube the same diameter as an 808 battery. But I don't need the battery. I just need the switch that would be used on an 808 battery. I could buy a manual 808 battery and take out the switch, but since they sell switches individually it'll make more sense to just buy the right switch. Any ideas?
the kind of switches that'll fit into that size (at least, as far as i know) probably aren't rated for the kind of voltage/current you'd be pulling through a passthrough (depending of course what kind of source you're using for your power).
I don't think any of the switches MV carries would fit in an 808 tube if you are going to mount it with the switch sticking out the side. If you're planning on it sticking out the end, the body of this one; Mountain Switch, Red Pushbutton Mtl Bdy 3a will mostly fit, but it would have to be held in using an o-ring or something similar, or epoxy it in...
I'm using one of these in a 3.7v mod and it seems to work pretty well (for about 2 weeks now, I'll have to wait to see how it holds up over time). It's rated at 3 amps so it should be adequate for your needs.
