Has anyone had any experience with a Cloudmaker Whiteout? They have 3 models: 1 - YihiSX350J 2 - DNA200 and 3 - OpenSource
They are modular and you can switch between chipsets! The Whiteout SX is for sale but there still working on the OS version and modular components, it sounds very neat and futuristic as you can keep upgrading the board when new ones come out!!

The Whiteout is in pre-order. So pretty much noone will have any experience with this mod yet.

rounding third and heading home...
Hello, I have been looking into buying a TC Mod, preferably one that takes 18650's and not a built in battery. Theres a lot coming out since I've started looking. At first I was looking at the IPV4 then I saw the iPV3-Li (reviews shows the screen falling out) Plus theres these:

IPV4

IPV3-Li

iPV D2 - 75W

Sigelei 75W

Sigelei 150W TC Temp Control Mod

YiHi SX Mini M-Class 60W

I'm trying to stay around $150 price range and the new DNA 40's are expensive aswell as the SX MINI, What do you guys will think will be the best for the money? I like Sigelei but I dont know if their using the YiHI chips...

Thanks!!
i think it is sick when you look at a list and realize you have them all plus more....the best one right now is the hcigar vt40, just an excellent mod at a reasonable price. if you are looking for a TC mod my suggestion is the vt40....

1. See which one u like in terms of looks
2. Id say have a budget of 250 to spend on a nice mod
3. Easy to swap out batteries, preferably magnetic back door

1. Sx mini... Yihi 350J chip, nice form factor, small, but the battery compartment is a big hassle imo
2. Sigelei's new 150w tc mod, no comment
3. Never bought ipv's since ipv2, sigelei was always a little ahead in terms of design so ive been buying sigelei
4. Snow wolf 200w limited edition gets my vote, it uses firmware version 1.5, it is updated from the first batch of snow wolf 200w's which is version 1, pretty much they took out the 30 min sleep timer, and gave users more manual control of the mod, a major complaint was that the snow wolf was too automatic, so overall its a good thing

What to look out for:
1. Cloudmaker sx chip for $199 (dual 18650)
2. cloudmaker dna200 chip for $199 (lipo bats)

i would stay away from IPV4 for obvious reasons

I don't know what the obvious reasons are, I have had an IPV4 for going on 2 months, its has been great since day 1. The only negative is the display brightness which is on the dim side. This is only a minor issue for me since I set it and forget it. I think the IPV4 gives you the most bang for the buck.

I have the ipv4 and the ipv3-li as well as a VF V3 clone, and the ipv3-li is my favorite of the bunch. Upgraded to 200w and Titanium option, and it delivers a solid vape with nickel or titanium. The only thing I don't like is that the outside has a metal finish and they don't seem to sell silicone sleeves for it so it can be pretty slick - I picked up a jwrap for it so when that arrives I'll put it on and hopefully that will provide a little protection from scratches or falls.

Looking forward to the Cloudmaker Whiteout SX myself, but we'll see if I can justify the $200 price tag when it comes out.

Thanks for the info on the limited edition, did not know there was an upgraded model besides an emblem.. Do you have a link to a real Limited Edition?

Thanks

I suggest a Heatvape Invader Mini. Bought mine for less than $60 with shipping at vaportekusa. Temp control works as well as my ipv4 and evic vt. The single battery lasts me around a day but i have backups so i don't have an issue with it. Its the most durable device ive seen, water resistant and you can run it over with your car and it will still work.
