This question is for those using mod batteries. It took me forever to realize there are TWO Ultrafire WF-138 chargers...one is considered WF-138A. And each one is for different lengths but the WF-138A has lower throughput so it can safely charge the CR123A 3.0volt LiFePO4 batteries. I don't think any other size battery would even fit in this charger. It looks like the normal WF-138 will only fit 10440 and 14500 sizes.

The AD-103 looks like it could handle any size battery. Madvapes has an AD-103 listed at a lower throughput (safe for LiFePO4) but it has been out of stock for a while and nobody else has this model listed. I keep reading about bad things about Trustfire and that they even use the Ultralife charger boards in their charger. I read that "Nomad" is no longer making chargers, apparently that use to be popular.

So what are our valid options now for a multi-functional charger?
Do most just use different chargers for each battery?

Apparently the below chargers are making the cut with candlepowerforums brainiacs, in addition to the AD-103 you mentioned, which appears to be back in stock at MadVapes atm. I'm going to be deciding between the three of them myself soon, or I might get a couple of them. (Done! :) The Shekor.)

Shekor Universal Lithium Ion battery charger RCR123 - 18650 - e-lectronics.net :

Cheaper source for that one (looks like it may not be reliable tho...):

See reviews -- this one is also being used with 'our' batts, not just the brand that matches the charger's manufacturer. This one's more $$ tho.

Oh btw, about those UltraFire 138/As, how about this on top of it: I have two from diff sources and both are definitely the 138A version, but the model # marked on their backs is just 'WF-138,' which is supposed to be the one for only AA/AAA. Not very detail-oriented folks apparently.

...must add, Wow -- placed my order, which was my first with e-lectronics.net, at what would have been about 3:45 AM their time, and received a ship notice with tracking at 6:00 AM their time! (Chose cheapest ship method available, USPS Priority.) FYI, the store owner is a member at cpf.

This Shekor charger should cover all batts I have or might ever need for a mod, except 3V and 10440. Have chargers for the former but not using those batts lately anyway, and if I ever need the latter, will get the $5.00 AD-103 (read that the mAh is too high on some multi chargers for the 10440, and that will overcharge them or something...). Perfecto. :)

Yeah I saw the AD-103 back in stock and ordered one last night. The only reason for not going with the double AG-126 charger is that I already have a couple of LiFePO4 batteries. Now if the 3.0v/3.6v Ultrafire charger acts up, I'm still a go. Plus now I will be able to charge the 10440 protected and 16430 LiMN I already have that I haven't used much.
Only time will tell which new chargers the flashlight freaks come to love. They do have an awesome forum and awesome reviews over there!

General note: Since I link ppl here occasionally re chargers that are all-around better than the ones we typically use around here, I wanted to post an FYI that the Shekor charger is out of stock at e-lectronics.net right now, but I'm going to ask within the next few days if they'll be restocking it. If it turns out they won't be, I'll post that (or anything else I find out) as an update. :)

Ok, just contacted owner Mark, and he will be restocking the Shekor charger I linked in post #4. :thumb: (Still so impressed with his customer service... gave a schpiel to try to get him to also consider carrying more of the batts vapers use!)
