1. Search KFL thread.
2. Search forum.
3. Clean and ream out all of the air channels in the bottom assembly. There might be some metal shavings, burrs or plastic bits left in there.
4. If yer handy grab a dremel, two drill bits (3/64" and 1/16") and a clamp. Enlarge then bevel or just bevel the air intake hole.
5. Take a tiny piece of emery cloth to the air intake hole and smooth out its rim.

If none of the above fixes it,
6. Earplugs?

I just started using a kayfun lite plus clone. It has a high pitched whistle whenever used. Anyone know of a solution to this kind of problem? Or is it just inherent with this piece?
Atomizers with multi-angle air flow passages are like wind instruments - change the orifice size, restriction or total length of the passageway, and you change the tone, pitch or amount of "sound" that is generated... or eliminated entirely.

I have several KF & KF design atomizers, and with a bit of fine tuning, I can make any of them produce a whistle... or no sound at all. Even moving the coil up or down away (1.0mm minimum spacing, with 1.5~2.0mm being my usual gap) from the positive block/retention air screw will alter sound. Changing the drip tip can effect sound.
On a few KF clones, I actually removed the screws entirely, and/or made a "restrictor" out of plastic spray can tube before the whistle disappeared and the air flow was still satisfactory.

I've found that most all of the airflow problems I've had with any Kayfun form has been from turnings(junk) inside the center post. 99% of them I've pulled the center post out and there was crap left from when they drill the airhole, because what they do is assemble the base completely with no holes in it and then drill it all at once.
