I'm getting tired of the usual top reviewers just sitting in front of a camera vaping one opulent mod after another and saying how great it is. Who is still down to earth and knowledgeable?

I mean I watch GrimmGreen and I feel like I need to vape my lungs out to be "like" him, because he makes it look like that's the correct way to do it. His last video from a day ago he stopped to take a "toot" and I counted the seconds he dragged on the Vamo with a Fusion carto in a tank, it was 4.5 seconds and the cloud of vapor was INSANE.

PBusardo did a review of the Fusions and basically pointed out that they are unimpressive to say the least.
Now I'm conFusion...do I buy them or not???

Is there a smart reviewer that has videos on how people can get an optimum system going on a realistic budget?

Scott Bonner (I think?) the British dude, I think he does some great reviews, they are very professional and straight forward. My only problem is that a lot of the stuff he reviews is hard to get in the US.

Phil Busardo is another favorite, very informative, technical, and funny as well. I watch his reviews even if it's a product I have no interest in, and sometimes that actually leads me to finding stuff I otherwise wouldn't.

I like Grimm Green too, but not a huge fan of his review style. It seems more like sitting down with a buddy and having a chat about vaping, instead of a straight up review. He seems to leave a lot of technical issues out sometimes, or fails to mention comparisons or other specifics. I'm just very picky. But I do like his vids!

I'd have to agree with the OP, it seems most of the more popular reviewers are getting quite out of touch with the average vaper. While I have yet to hear anything from them that was over my head, I have seen quite a bit that was over my budget. Doing 20 reviews of 300 dollar devices is awesome, but the vast majority of people can't afford to be constantly picking up new devices. I really wish they'd get back to some lower-end stuff just to be more relevant to the majority of vapers.

Although I can totally relate to why they would loose interest in the lower end stuff. Most devices these days of the same "class" if you will, such as cigalikes, eGos, mech mods, VV/VW devices, and Genisis, are pretty much on par with each other, with only a few minor differences, or just cosmetic differences. To get into larger differences between devices you really have to go to VV/VW or genesis devices. A cigalike is a cigalike... it works or it doesn't. An ego is basically just and ego, with any differences being evident with a quick reference to its stats. There just really isn't much to be said about those type of products

I wish they would focus more on heads and other add-ons, instead of mostly devices. And I'm not talking about anyone specifically, just in general. This would be something both new and veteran vapers could relate to, as most people are always trying out new attys/cartos/tanks/clearos/whatever else.

Oh yeah, I had to edit this because I totally forgot, there is also the guy "Lord Davon" I believe that I've been starting to really like, he isn't as polished as some other reviewers, but offers excellent and thorough content about pretty much everything he reviews.

There is also some younger looking kid with very long hair who does some good reviews, although on devices that I generally am not terribly fascinated with, but they seem like solid reviews. Sorry, can't remember the name. He was on VP live I think it was several weeks back.

And on the subject of reviews, it's like nails on a chalkboard when I hear people say "MAHH" as if it's a word. mAh. Milli-amp-hours, it's easy to say! (and fun too!) ;)

pbusardo and scott are my main reviewers. i find scott reviews to lean towards the high end ( pricey ) devices. i've lost interest in all non rebuildable stuff and i've tried pretty much anything so i don't notice it, but perhaps is true they need to refocus in the average user devices.

I mean it totally depends on who the reviewer wants to cater to obviously, it's great there are people like scott, because like you said, most of his reviews are of higher end stuff, and those that are strictly into that genre of PVs are probably happy to not have to sift through relatively junky products to find good reviews.

There just seems an odd disconnect between how some reviews are done, vs the target audience. Speaking of scott, I notice in every review he talks about how vape production is dependent upon juice, coil build, voltage, etc. But if his target audience is high-end vapers, they already know this all too well, and people that would need to be told that wouldn't know half of what he was talking about in his reviews, as it would probably go over their heads.

I'm not trying to make a judgement on what products they review (which to some degree is also dictated by what stuff they get sent by vendors) just that it seems like most reviewers try to appeal to the entire vaping community with the way they do the reviews, but the common product choices aren't really representative of what the majority of people are using/buying.

I'll keep watching all of them regardless, but I could imagine some new, or even slightly seasoned vapers getting confused with a lot of these products, and a lot of veterans getting annoyed at a high end product having a lot of "newbie" info being presented. If all you review are gennys and rebuildables,I think your viewers already know what a mesh wick is.

Just an observation not a complaint! I think they are all great and am thankful for what they offer the community.

i agree with all you say. i look at the reviews or internet pictures of new rba stuff for 2 main reasons. first one i live far away from the civilized world and i have to wait a month for any kind of mail to get here, and second to spot the little improvements in new devices. i think vaping needs some kind of revolution. a fundamentally new device that would give new vapers the pleasure of vaping we ( the experienced ) get, without having to build a small home laboratory.

I'd have to vote for PBusardo too. That guy cracks me up.

Also, for those that complained that the reviewers are out of touch with the average person, remember that they are reviewing new(ish) devices for the most part. Unfortunately most of the fancy new stuff is expensive.

As one person put it an ego is an ego, a cigalike is a cigalike, and everybody and their mother has reviewed them.
