You never stop amazing me Dan. That is exactly what I am looking for. I like the idea of putting the button on the bottom. Then you can hold it somewhat like a real pipe.

LOL, this cost me about 7.00 to make, I bought the pipe off ebay for 1.99, and it cost 5.00 shipping. The rest of the parts I had or made. Took about 2 hours to make. I did not grind out the three alignment post inside, I used a 7/8 OD and 3/4ID poly tube and 3 o-rings on the outside out it, and slid it into the hole. The battery fit like a glove. Spring on the bottom and small neo magnet for the postive post with a small plate to magnetically link it to the top Pos pole on the battery. The top cap is actually a loranns 4oz bottle cap. It too fit perfect.

Yeah, my hardest part is finding time to work on it. 5 kids all under 8 keeps me busy. I also was looking at using a bottlecap to hold the battery in. But I have been tossing up the idea of making the cap the switch and using magnets to keep the switch open until you push down on the cap.
It will cost me a bit more because I do not have parts laying around the house. So I have to buy stuff to tinker with and hope that it works.

And here I was, relishing the more futuristic vape-gear that doesn't even remotely look like a pipe or cigarette, and allows me to walk 'n vape even in downtown Berkeley(1) and not be crucified for "smoking"!
1. Berkeley, CA. The most anti-smoking place on Earth. City ordinance bans smoking within 20 ft of any building, and even if you stand in the middle of the street you're within 20 ft.

Fernan, Davis, Ca is 10x worse...from what I heard, you can get a ticket for smoking in front of your house, unless its fenced in...and no smoking in the streets or sidewalks...you can only smoke in your car when in public!
