New York (no, not the city)
It's...the...most wonderful time...of the year!
(besides the postseason)

I'm thrilled about tonight's New York @ Boston game. I didn't realize it was tonight - thought it all started tomorrow!

As a Red Sox fan living in New York with a Yankee wife, life is difficult. We met in 2004 - it was almost a very short-lived relationship!

Red Sox vs Cubs in the World Series. I'm a life long Red Sox fan, but I also feel for the Cubs, they have had a worse drought than the Red Sox had, so I hope the Cubbies go all the way this year !!!

Besides, we Red Sox fans had 2004, spotted the Yankees three games and then won four straight, to take the AL Championship and then a four game sweep over the Cardinals, (payback for 1967) the team with the best record in the Major Leagues. It could never be any better than that was !!

P.S. I'm a traditionalist, get rid of the :-x designated hitter and inter league play !!

Yesterday....11-1....nice start PHILLIES :)

I am so proud. I guess that our new pitcher is all that (although I still miss Cliff Lee )

Maureen

He IS all of that. I don't recall ever wanting a player as much as I wanted Halladay.

It isn't often that you love a player that OWNS the team you root for but Halladay is a gentleman of the game while still being a fierce competitor.

Enjoy having him. ;)

I'm more than excited!

I've loved baseball since I was a kid when we took jr. high school field trips to see Cubs games. I used to watch the afternoon games after school. I knew every player by name, and I'm old enough to remember watching them on a black & white TV. (shhhh!) I haven't lived in the Chicago area since 1974, but the Cubs will always have a place in my heart.

Lived in TX for almost 20 years, and never got into the Rangers - but I was busy raising my son. They weren't a great team at the time anyway.

Moved to the west coast of MI in 2001. Going to a game in Detroit has never been an option, half a day's drive was/is too far for a game.

My significant other is a Tampa Bay fan, so I've rooted for them for several years. A nice group of kids that really want to win.

Thank god I still get "Extra Innings" on Char**r cable. This was in question since the end of last seson, when it was reported that only satellite TV would carry the 2010 season games. Satellite TV sucks, I've heard, when the dish is buried under 2 feet of snow lol. Baseball is seasonal, but having decent reception during our winter hibernation period is mandatory

Char**r cable came through though, and offered Extra Innings in my area again this year.

Anyway, no mater who you root for....Hooray for Baseball!!!

There's no other sport that compares to the excitement of everything changing with one stroke of a well-directed bat!
