A lot of us have successfully kicked the habit but have we reduced the amount of nicotine in our juice since we first started vaping.

When I first started I was using 24 then gradually went down to 18. Now I am at 6 mg strength. For me, stepping down the level was quite painless.
My long term plan is to be nicotine free.

1) What year / month did you start vaping? Sept 2009

2) What nicotine strength did you start with? 24

3) What is your current strength? 6

Could be an interesting thread .... Thanks to all who post.

1) Started vaping in May 2011
2) Started at 24mg
3) Currently at 4-6mg

I managed to go down to 4-6 by quitting entirely for a month and when I started up again 6mg was the most nic I could handle so it all worked out :) I have no doubt that I'll quit again within the next year, whether it'll be the last time or not remains to be seen :)

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

I quit in January and started at 16mg. I briefly went up to 18 but quickly went back to 16 as it made me feel queasy. I am now at 8 and occasionally boot up to 12 for some flavours. I have tried zero but find I miss the TH. I'll likely stay at 8 to 12mgs. I have decided that I want to keep vaping, likely until I kick off, or when lifting a PV to my face becomes difficult. I enjoy the flavours and the activity a great deal! Vapemail is like Christmas year round. :D

1. Started Vaping Feb 2011
2. Started at 24 mg
3. 0 nic now

I think the nice thing is doing it at your own speed. When you feel comfortable and ready. I went 0 nic then went back to 4 mg and then back to 0 nic. Yet I am far from ready to quit vaping. Most likely will some day but for now I still like to relax with it. My pacifier.

Started vaping in Feb 11 (wasn't until March that I quit smoking)

Started with 16/18mg

After about 6 months I was finding this level too strong, dropped down to 10/12mg and have been there ever since.

I didn't plan on dropping the nic level, it just happened. I don't currently have any plans to drop it further; but if I need to I will.

Started in the summer of '08 at 12mg (most I cld get at the time, preloaded cartos, with the device I was using).
Currently at approx 14-16mg for most and some 24mg with others.

Only managed a 3.5 month abstinence from analogs when using 48mg DIY but it didn't last for me with my personal circumstances. Being a former 3ppd smoker for many years and with ongoing situations (injuries/pain/legal/stress), I never intended to fully quit and view it as a harm reduction approach and consider myself lucky to just be under one ppd with occasional stints of further reductions.

Never took to carto's/tank's (hated the hassle & occasional bad tastes), and have committed to long use dripping albeit an inconvenient annoyance at best yet the most satisfying for taste and consistancy.

I've recently purchased a Vmod bottom feeder, and although (so far), I'm finding it a bit airy for my liking, I'm hoping I can play around with different things to firm that up and get serious about vaping again enough to take another stab at being analog free.

As far as dropping nicotine out of my life ? I don't see it at this stage as its my 'calm' and I enjoy the effects that nicotine has on my life and even better if I can completely eliminate the tars and other garbage from cigarettes.

1) What year / month did you start vaping? July 2010

2) What nicotine strength did you start with? 11

3) What is your current strength? @ 9

I went down to 0 nic for a couple months towards the end of 2010, but nothing I did worked to replace the "flavour" of my ADV and the TH that came with it. So, I bumped it back up to approximately 9.
