Is the Kangxin, Waidea, or who ever makes the fasttech model THE BEST RIGHT NOW? Does anyone know if they have the same chipset? Also Does anyone have an opinion on best place to get.....3Fvape, focalecig, FT? Maybe I should have put this in the thread already posted but things are changing so fast whatever the best one a couple of months ago may not be today.i also wasn't sure if everything dealing with the VF clone needed to be in that thread.

All I can talk about is my Kangxin. I ordered it before the Waidea started to get good reviews. I have had it for a month now and not a single problem. Using ni200 builds with it. It has been the only mod I have been using at home since receiving it. My first TP mod.

i have the Waidea and sometimes it acts-up, from what i've been able to gather from the guru wizards it has something to do with sub-par grounding...i don't even follow the thread anymore, yet when it hits it hits very good and that's most of the time....maybe the manufacturer has resolved the issue by now.....running Ti on mine.

I'm using the Waidea from Focalecig and have absolutely no complaints yet (only 2 weeks old). Seems pretty accurate, and the temperature control works good. I set it on 400 and did a dry cotton firing and the cotton showed almost no discoloration. I charge it with the USB every night, carry it with me all the next day, and batteries never let me down; that's at about a 20 watt usage.

I've read where the Kangxin depends heavily on hot glue to hold things together, while supposedly the Waidea uses a carrier for the chip. Don't really know for sure as I haven't had to take it apart yet. But the quality of construction makes it one of the best clones I've ever purchased.

As well as this Waidea seems to be working, a small amount of fix-it won't bother me too much.

I own the Waida Silver model and it is a very nice mod, the build quality is superb, for the money you pay it is very nice and performs as expected, TP working well with nickel builds and the fixed 510 I have had no problems with, everything I've thrown on it works.

The Waida is generally accepted as the better made flask, they apparently all use the same chip, but the Waida is more 1:1 with the original VF. Waida also uses a cradle for the insides opposed to just hot glue.

There is a somewhat dodgy grounding technique used for the Waida which can cause some problems but is an easy fix, mine has no problems but I've read of others with it. Saying all that the Kangxin is a solid perfromer from most accounts from what I have read, also some reports of Kangxins dying also, a lot more than the Waida flasks it seems so far.

They are both nice flasks but I'd go with the Waida, I have read every page in the VF clone thread and they both have pros and cons so I don't think you can really go wrong with either.

I own two Waidea VF V3 clones, one black and one silver, and have held the Kangxin unit, and I can easily say the Waidea is the better unit and you can't go wrong with this mod! The build quality is amazing for the price point, it looks great, fits the hand nicely, and TC works amazingly well! Buy a Waidea, you won't be disappointed!

I own 2 Kangxins. one completely dead and one the 510 wobbles big time :( both are in the bin. I then bough a Waidea and it's wayyyy better then the kangxin!!! build quality and finish is excellent. thought about a SXK because the fixed pin on the waidea bothers me ;) so I broke down and bought a Vapor flask by vapor shark :) cant wait to get it... but you can't go wrong with the waidea. one thing, it goes into deep sleep after an hour or so and needs 1 click to wake it and 1 more to fire. newest version of the chip I think. it was touted as a "V4"

I might do something with them. however, I am going to put the one surviving KX40D chip in a ZNA clone. or try anyway ;)
Do the Rayn boards have on-chip switches? All the boards I've seen pictures of don't have on-chip buttons, and the ZNA needs those (also, they need to be aligned exactly like those on the DNA30 board. From what I've read, the authentic DNA40 board's fire switch needs some slight modding to work properly in a ZNA clone).
