Ok, so I bought my first one about a month ago, and it works so great that I ordered another last week. They've replaced my old ego 900 mah batts and ego booster. Very glad for that as the booster wasn't very well made. But who makes these batts? My Dad bought one that looks identical while he was in town from my local shop, and his has the plastic frosted white button, whereas both of the ones I got from FSUSA has a metal button. Neither of these types are true egos as those have the smokey grey hard plastic buttons (feel like those are slightly better quality than these, but I've had no problems), but I don't think Joyetech makes their own version of these anyway. Just curious as to who makes these. One of them has a messed up LCD as the top light bar doesn't light up, but it's a minor thing.

I think Joye makes one that has a metal button, but im not positive. ill pm you a link to a site that I use to find who makes certain products, i dont wanna post it in a supplier forum. just type 900 mah vv ego into the search bar on the site
joye makes the original. there are other companies too. all are pretty good. we only carry products fully tested by us with quality test equiptment. you can trust what we sell 
It's not that I don't trust it, not at all. I liked it so much I bought another. It was more of a curiosity thing than anything really. When people ask me about it, I like to sound educated. Instead of "Uhhhh, I dunno who made it, but ain't it purty?"

I use the vv batteries myself I like the voltage differences depending on the time of day. We stick with purchasing Joye as much as possible though, their engineers are top notch.

really don't know how to explain this, but i will give it a go. i bought this battery from fsusa, it has no markings on it. (so i presume it is not a joye product, but i really don't know). that being said, it does work as described, however, when i charge it, the lights blink on the charge indicator and the color ring on the top lights up and stays a solid color. this is where it gets scarry, when i unplug it from the usb on my laptop or the 110 wall outlet the lights on the charge indicator and the color bar at the top continue to stay light. how is this possible? with no power going to it, shouldn't it shut down?

nothing scary about it. the integrated circuit has a retention menory and for 3-7 seconds it displays to you the power voltage level to give you time to decide if you want to change it to another level or start vaping at the default level. mine does the same thing. You can press the power button and cycle through the levels and it stops lighting up after you decided what level you choose to use. Or shuts off on it's own.
