I was rolling my own until Obama passed his insane tax increase on RYO tobacco to fund SCHIP. It went from $12.00 a pound to $50.00.
Tried growing my own, but was afraid it wouldn't grow for me.
Someone on freerepublic.com suggested this site.
Bought the 901, then the SD, then the BE112, and haven't gone back since.

Needless to say, I hope SCHIP has the same success as his, "Cash for Clunkers," program.

A friend told me about ecigs, but the poor performance and high price of her SE model made me dismiss the idea. Then cigarette prices went through the roof, and I bought a new car with beautiful upholstery, and figured it was at least worth some internet research to see if there was a better alternative to SE. Found this forum, settled on the 510, and haven't smoked a cigarette since the day it arrived... :)

My stepson came home with a se gold that his dad had bought him at the mall for 150.00. This sparked my interest and now i've purchased 3-901's ,1- 201, 1-801, 1-84 and a janty stick. Also many bottles of juice. Now i am making my own mods, all because of my ego. I couldn't be outdone by his dad. I've also converted 3 coworkers and am working on my other two stepsons.

My girlfriend really kept pushing me to quit analogs. I mean all the time it was "When was your last cig?" .... "Are you trying to quit?" ..... "Did you get the patch, gum, chantix, etc.?"

Then she tells me she saw an ad and in the mall about an electronic cigarette. I laughed and thought it was some stupid novelty item. So she said to google it and I did.

After seeing that it looked pretty cool and that people did successfully quit, I tried it. And I quit since day 1.

All I gotta say is .... the highest FDA "approved" item to quit smoking is Chantix with I believe a success rate of 50% or slightly lower. It definitely wasn't an even 50%.

I was trying to download WOTLK from a torrent tracker site. There was a banner for blucig. I thought "lame, but I'm bored so I'll check".

I clicked on it then went to youtube to see if there were any vids for blucig, then I tried ecig, saw reviews (for a minute I was convinced grimm green was Seth Rogen) and then looked for a forum.

I was at first wanting one that looked like a cig and tasted like a newport. I ended up going with the 510.

So far I'm very very happy, about 25 days into it - like a miracle it's been great.

I tried to stop when my wife was pregnant with our youngest child with patches, gum, inhalator etc. It did not work :(

A colleague at work brought in a 801 that her partner was using and had quit cigs for a full 2 weeks by using it. I had a go on it and I thought - yea, that is for me.

I researched the internet and found this site. I was bamboozled by the information and the intelligence of the posts here, so I studied for a while.

I ordered the minipipe from smokejuice and smoking was history.

Thanks Andrea, SmokeyJoe and Tim.

A guy at my work was puffing on one during a smoke break. The guy normally smoked two cigarettes every break (compared to my one). I asked him about it, and if it satisfied his craving for nicotine and he said yeah. That was enough to sell me on the idea. Haven't had a regular ciggie since I started over two weeks ago! I quit smoking cold turkey and began vaping cold turkey :)

I managed to quit smoking for alittle over a year and started back up. I felt ashamed and was very mad at myself for giving in (although everyone close to me smokes!). I happened to see these on i think it's called The Doctors one afternoon and googled it and low and behold up came ESmoking Everywhere. Bought it then found this place and quickly replaced that model.

It was the FDA report for me :)
Sorry... meant to explain.
Once I saw the FDA report, I remembered hearing about ecigs, and realized it wasn't a fad if it was drawing attention like that. It reminded me that I wanted to learn more.
I promised my family I would quit smoking, and I did but started back up. I was so discouraged I didn't try again for 3 months before I found vaping.
I saw the bias of the report right away, and made my own opinion that it would still be healthier than smoking, and better for me than failing again with the patch. So far I've got a lot of support and the people who care about me don't mind me vaping as much as they did me smoking. People who understand it seem to be much more accepting of it than I expected.
2 analogs today only, down from a pack a day, and I dont' miss it!

remember hearing few years ago bout the ecig thing thought it sounded like something big tobacco was half heartedly investing in to get fda off its back..(sort of like when auto companies pretended to care about the electric car)..so i forgot about it....then ofcourse that recent warning about ecigs not being totally safe i thought "oh...i guess e cigs are around now"...google google..sure enough this whole thing going on..smoked 2 1/2 packs for 20 yrs my order should come monday wish me luck..just funny the fda warning actually is what clued me onto to this...ofcourse in 5th grade i heard an fda warning about glue sniffing and ofcourse then spent all 5th grade high on glue...thinking this should go better lmfao

Best day ever to quit on. It's my birthday so you were bound to succeed.

LOL, that is what I was going to say seeing as it's my Birthday also.

And now to stay on topic, an internet friend posted a link to the SE and said she was interested in getting one for her Mom and what did we all think about it, I got it, found this forum and moved onto the 901. Never looked back.
