Who plans on getting the new iPhone 5?

The iPhone 4S was typical of Apple. I'm sure they already have the iPhone 5 ready to go, but want to squeeze as much as they can out of the iPhone 4, and the pockets of consumers.
While the 3GS was a decent upgrade from the 3G, making it somewhat useable with an increase in CPU power and RAM, the iPhone 4S offers no more than an updated camera, CPU and some speech recognition software that seems to be more of a novelty than needed feature. So you can take some nicer pictures, or play a game faster on a tiny screen, or dictate some search commands...
I'm more than content sticking with the iPhone 4 until a real upgrade comes out, with a new form factor and all.

Still loving the Droid platform. So far, I haven't had to pay for an app. The open source free apps are good enough to do the job and there's no lock to a certain app store.
Nonsense. The 4S is just as significant an upgrade as the 3GS. Apple has a long standing tradition of doing incremental speed and feature bumps on existing hardware. This should come as no surprise to anyone.
Oh, and I've owned every rev of the iPhone except the 3. I was planning on skipping this generation but I like Siri a lot and the new camera is a major upgrade. I'm a semi-pro photographer, so the new camera in iPhone 4S is practically enough in and of itself to get me to upgrade. I'll be getting mine in November after the massive order backlog gets cleared out.
It's not nonsense.. everything I said is in my opinion an accurate assessment. If you need a high end camera (is it?) in your phone, then this is a logical upgrade for you. For the general masses, it's just some pixie dust.. I'm sure you could ascertain from my tone that it didn't come as a surprise to me.

The 3 was frustratingly slow, so I was happy to upgrade to the 3GS for the speed improvement alone. The 4S is to the 4 what the 3GS was to the 3, I'm not disputing that. Personally, I find the 4 to be very quick. I suppose it could use a bit more oomph, but I'd rather wait til a hardware revision comes out before spending any more money.
I like Apple products, and am more than happy to upgrade when I feel it's logical to do so. I don't need a better camera and I certainly don't need to play FPS on a tiny screen. Admittedly, I'm not all that familiar with how much Siri offers, but from what little I've seen of it, it doesn't interest me. If the hacker community can find a way to make it work on a Jailbroken 4, I'll check it out.
For most people, I can't see this as a necessary upgrade from the 4. But who says one needs any of this stuff... if you want it, and can afford it, go for it...

Well my 3GS is doing fine. I will wait till a real upgrade in iPhone 5, vice the bump Apple did with the 4S.
