Well I have been lurking here for quite a while. A buddy of mine from another forum sent me here, and recommended the hardware I would need to quit smoking. I had been a chain smoker for 21 years and with a new baby and a stepson, I decided I needed to take steps in order to see my kids get married, graduate from college... just be there for them. My buddy recommended the screwdriver initially and then helped me "dial in" everything so I could quit smoking. Well after discovering I loved the 510 cartos (low res) and 36mg ejuice mixed 50/50 with Glycerin, I had a winning formula to help me kick the cigs. That was last July. I have never posted before, because well I didn't have anything relevant to post about.... until today. You see recently I ordered the tornado tank, and thought it was OK. It was convenient, no hassle, but the atty didn't produce much vapor for me (the more vapor the better as far as I am concerned). Well two days after getting my Tornado T in I get an email talking about the new low res attys. (extra $7.00 in shipping there). I was trying to post in a discussion pertaining to the new low res attys that I got mine in and I love them! They are as good to me as the 510 carto's that got me to quit smoking in the first place. I was further going to explain that I can't comment on the flavor production, as I am cutting my ejuice so much anyway, that's obviously not something I care about that much... just give me my nicotine, and if it tastes like anything other than burnt socks or rhinoceros ...., I'm good. However I can't do that, I'm forced to post in some sort of post purgatory your got going on here. I understand spammers are the spawn of Satan, but surely you can't find some other solution? Well considering that I will probably never having anything of any further relevance to post about post about, I suppose I will dissolve back into the mists of part time lurker... but I would like to say that some of you folks strike me as quite the characters! :)

You have no idea....lol I have never laughed so hard than reading some of the posts in this forum. And I do want to make note that it kinda stinks when you cannot post in the new members forum any longer b/c there are typically more of the seasoned vapers hanging out there to help in any way that they can. I honestly believe that the new members forum is read much more than any of the others.

Also...congrats on your sucesses and please don't stay in the shadows.....we really do have a lot of fun here....and there is nothing that says that your 1st 5 post have to be super long....just 10 characters;) post away and have fun.

I think this is the sort of information that would be especially pertinent right here in the new members forum, actually. This is where people are going to be before they've made their eGo-T purchase and right after they've made their eGo-T purchase. If I were a new person trying to decide which kind of e-cig to get, I'd want to see exactly that information posted here. Thanks for contributing! :)

The situation with Orion and Drew should be a red flag to all new members to get those minimum posts done. That way when you need or want to post, you can! That said - .....

Hi Orion & Drew. Nice to meet you. Glad you decided to pop in and write a message. Hope to see more of both of you around the board.
Happy Vaping,
Paula

the only thing that sucks is that i am a reader, i dont post much...at all. A 510 kit came up and i realized i had no way of contacting the seller and now it's too late. Bummer

That is exactly what got me to be a member - I had been reading the forum for weeks and learning a lot - and a mod came on the classifieds I wanted! I quick made 5 rather awkward comments here and there and then had to ask other members to please pm the fellow who was selling it, they did - and I got my first mod - a chameleon - which I am still using today. So, get your posts in so you don't have to frantically jump around like I did!

I would recommend to have a "Let me introduce myself" sub-forum under New Members where all newbies should open their own thread and say hello to the community plus add any other info they are willing to disclose/discuss. Quite few vets usually drop in to say welcome, you reply thanking them all for warm welcome... and you have 2 post count.

I had problem where to place my first post, didn't quite felt like opening new thread in general New Members forum, so I piggybacked my post on one of the treads even though my post didn't really contribute much to the OP.

This is my experience from other forum I'm member of and it really helped me to join in seamlessly.

Cheers

Do what I did, get your post count up to where you can at least send PMs (I had to do it so I could order from Kick Bass Vapor).
