I must confess that while i smoked for over 16 years, I never really cared for the way cigarettes tasted. I smoked primarily for the TH. I started out smoking menthols. I figured if I was going to kill myself slowly my death should at least have a minty taste. After about a year they just became too harsh and I switched to regular cigarettes. I would bum menthols from anyone I could.

It's funny. Now that I've been vaping, regular cigarettes taste really horrible.

Yup, I know what you mean. I never liked how cigs tasted. I never liked smoking. It was a methodical thing I did to keep me calm. And I did like the punch of it.

I'm still getting used to vaping, but it's certainly much more pleasant than smoking ever was. Now it's just a matter of finding a juice that really gets me going. :)

i started up around the age of 12.
pretty sure i did it because friends were.
a really good friend asked when i started and it was like a day before she asked. she told me that i should stop right then because i didn't know what i was getting myself into. she was a smoker also. man was she right about that.

Hawaii! Yay haha
Vaping, definitely. I always liked the 'taste' of a harsh Marlboro red, or thought I did. First vaping I did was with a Marlboro clone. Strong nicotine, and great throat hit. But diving into dessert flavors with nicotine in them, what an amazing experience!

I often look at someone smoking a real cigarette and wonder if there's a way to get banana cream flavor in there!

Even if e-cigs disappear, I can't ever go back to the taste of ashtray. I'll just be a .....y non-smoker, grrr :D

I think vaping really underscores just how horrible cigarettes are on so many levels.

I was amazed at how much better tobacco ejuice tastes. The fresh smell of dried raisins and the smooth nutty flavor are things I never got out of a cigarette. Sure, Lucky Strikes come close...but no cigar (pun intended).

But with all the flavors available with ecigs, I find myself being unable to just vape tobacco flavors. That's my all day vape, but I love trying all the yummy stuff. Everything from Bananas Foster to Sausage Pizza.

So, yeah...I think vaping tastes better than cigarettes. If for no other reason than big tobacco doesn't have their grimy little fingers in our ejuice jacking up the addictive chemicals at the cost of flavor and quality.

KPKicker: You just had to mention Pizza, didn't you! Haha :) I wanted to say it myself, but that always leads to temporary thread offtopic-ness when questions about 'pizza e-liquid, where can I find this?' arise.

At least I'm not responsible this time around! I agree, the pizza one calls me now and then, and that's when I really appreciate vaping. Who would have ever thought, smoking a pizza? :D

I must admit I was one that enjoyed smoking cigarettes, for many reasons. It's been 40 years of habit and enjoyment. Now, not so much. Give me my e-cigs and I am a very happy camper. I love all the different flavours, 4000 less chemicals in my body, etc. I do have an analog smoke (too many today, arggg) and feel like crap after I have a couple.
I am a believer in vaping!

Ugh...I am hanging my head in shame. I am the "Thread Killer" not the "Thread Hijacker".

In an effort to prevent my nom de plume from being re-assessed, I shall post the following link for anyone who is interested...

And I love the idea of smoking a pizza. All the flavor and none of the calories.

Haha just having fun. I think the pizza e-liquid should be mentioned in every thread, just because it exists! :D

Agreed!

And I too, was just having fun. You opened the door for me to do the one thing I am really good at...self-deprecating humor.

What can I say, I have lots of material to work with.

I never liked the way cigs made my mouth 'feel' - coated and ashy tasting. Sometiems I drank coffee just to be rid of the taste. Other days they were fine, but as soon as smoked 'too many' (anything over 10 really) - yukko.
Vaping doesn't give me that (although I must add that Ive had a couple of juices at the start that seemed to coat my tongue nastily, havent had that for months though), and I like the way it smells, tastes, and doesn't gunge up the back of my tongue.
*puffs on sharp sweet n juicey TV Pina Colada* Ahhhh :)
