Well, I haven't tried a lot of vendors, but I'll share this.

My favorite "tobacco" flavor to date is SI 555. However, I don't use enough nicotine for any real big throat hits, and it is so smooth to me that I don't really feel like I should class it as a "tobacco" flavor.

A couple of days ago, though, I received my first samplings from Vape Dudes. In it, I had a "Clove Lite" sample. I didn't read the description, I just happen to like clove, and sometimes it can be overwhelming. Well, I tried it in a carto, and I'll tell you, it tasted 1) just like the clove flavoring I like, and 2) just like a light clove cigarette! And, with only 6mg nic, it had a little TH attached, too. I swear I could taste the "smokieness" of the "tobacco." So, if that one sample is any indication? You might want to see what other "tobacco" flavors Vape Dudes has to offer.

Oh, and I normally get all my liquids at 70PG/30VG, this was no exception.

Great help Thanks Kia....By the Way,...Where do you find the PG / VG levels?...I don't see them listed at SI

Thanks for asking as I've been wondering this too about SI! My hubby is new to vaping & the throat hit seems to be lacking just a bit for him. But he's hooked on the SI Ice Menthol (he's a reformed menthol-hater, but hey it's working!) and I don't want to switch juices on him & mess up his momentum.

What nic level is he using? He already has 90% PG so it could be his nic level.

We started him out at 18mg, and for some crazy reason he thinks he wants to "step down" already - he's only at two weeks! I really want him to succeed, and I keep telling him to just stick w/the 18mg, where he seems to be happy. He's complaining of reduced TH @ 12 mg. Stick w/the 18, buddy!!!

"They are mostly PG with some VG about 90/10"
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...02288-smokeless-image-carts-liquid-pg-vg.html

Juice Components
Flavoring usually about 15%
PG enhances flavor, TH and lung hit- water like
VG= vapor and can mute flavor- thick
Nicotine- TH, lung hit and our need for nicotine. The MOST important ingredient in regards to TH and lung hit.
Standards in the industry are 80/ 20 or 70/ 30 PG/ VG. I vape 70/ 30 PG/ VG.

PG is known to be a throat irritant BUT...when I lowered my nic level I upped my ratio from 60/ 40 to 70/ 30 PG/ VG cuz there wasn't enough TH. It worked. I also add menthol in my lower mg evening vape and it helps. Sadly there's yet to be anyone that has found a suitable replacement for the TH we get from nicotine.

You're absolutely right. The alkoids from tobacco are just now beginning to leave his body. Three months after I began vaping I was still subconsciously searching for my ashtray and analogs

(TOBACCO flavor that is)...Really wish to get down to "0" mg nic (or close)...Freedom (SI) has won the contest so far....These are the only juices I've tried though. (equipt) CE3 / X-2 man. / Mini Autos

Hi Newbie. Newbie here also.
35+ year 2pad here, Quite new to vaping but have ordered juice for 4 venders so far. PG and Nic Level seem to have the largest impact on TH. For me: Moutain Vaper's Turkish Tobaco, Baconut and Sweet Leaf have the TH of my old cigs "Marlboro Full Favor" and good taste. So Far... I use the 26 and 36 nic levels. Lower nic levels may not have the same hit. Are you looking for more throat hit than your analogs?

Yes, he really needs to give it more time. I only went from 18mg to 12mg already because I was vaping so much and getting nic-sick @ 18 mg. I still have some 18mg for first thing in the morning or other times when I feel I need a punch. He smoked 1.5 PAD for (I'm estimating here) 35-40 years, so of course he's going to miss TH. Silly man

I'm at 12 mg too. I wasn't really looking to go down but 18 mg got to be a bit much. I like to vape a lot at home. Cracks me up that 18 mg was a little too much for me because I used to smoke 50 a day at home. Guess its a sign of some body healing. Yes, he will probably feel better sticking with 18mg. That's not very high - some people vape above that with no problems.

Throat hit comes from the nicotine.

0 nic juice will not have throat hit.

There are some companies that have an additive called flash which will give you the throat hit feeling without nicotine. You can find it here http://www.onestopdiyshop.com/flash-throat-hit-enhancer/

Rememebr this when looking for throat hit.
Nicotine gives the throat hit. Don't confuse heat or harshness from pg with throat hit.
Vg will give you clouds of vapor but will mask flavor and throat it. PG allows the throat hit to come through in the juice.

Mints and cinnamon can help you with getting the throat hit feeling. Some people also use vodka or pepper.

I like 6mg juice, which doesn't have a lot of throat hit, so to make up for it, I vape mint and menthol when I want that extra kick.

Also, the PV does not give you more throat hit. Vv allows you to get more vapor by turning up the voltage. Since you are getting more heat and thus more vapor, you get more throat hit, but the throat hit is still coming from the nicotine
