I am having dry mouth issues, and I want to try some pure VG without spending a lot. I see MBV has two options: 70VG/30 distilled H2O, and max VG. Which would you recommend and why? Thanks, guys! If this is the reason I've had vapetongue for months, and super dry mouth for 4 days, I'll be out a lot of $$, but I'll be one happy vapette.

I wouldn't do MBV at all. Velvet Cloud Vapor is worth the extra money, organic, all VG, with a touch of distilled water for throat hit. They have regular sales and it is worthwhile to sign up for the mailing list to get notified. I learned my the lesson the hard way on cheap juice.

Right now I'm running a 70/30 vg/pg mix and loving it.

Just wondering the ups and downs of going 100% vg.
I've heard talk of PG tasting better but being all throat hit and no vapour.

Are any of you using 100% VG? Do you have to vape at a higher wattage to get the juice to cook nicely?

All your comments are appreciated!

Go to Velvet Cloud Vapor and order campfire, or a tobacco blend if it suits you, best introduction to 100% VG juice you will get imo.

My Campfire took a week or so to come around, was a little harsh before that, I was on a 3 day Campfire bender the other day and love it. Sour Skittles and Nutty Cookie are a couple of my other faves. Mewlews is excellent but takes a little while to come around.

My campfire sample was good right out of the mail, maybe VCV doesn't mix their samples on the spot?

That is very possible, VG is slow steeping, so would be a good plan to have them made up ahead of time. Nighshift is also really good and Chocolate Pudding too. Harvest Berry and Straw Gwab got a harsher throat hit after steeping which nobody else is experiencing, they are good people though, sending me some stuff free to see if we can figure out what is causing it. Everything else has been really great.

I found that I like Strawb-Gwab better fresh rather than steeped. Still not bad after a week, or so, though...

My policy is if I have to ask I'm not buying it. They need to state clearly what is in their juice or stop wasting all of our times. I think it's hurting all of us and surely is not going to help with the FDA problems we are facing now. Even Halo is guilty of playing this game.
Yep, should give a ratio due to folks having sensitivity to pg or vg. The formula can hide behind a simple "and flavorings" on a bottle ingredient list.

I have a feeling that Strawb Gwab would be overly sweet, is it?

Neither one of us really had a problem with it being too sweet, I would say similar to the rest of the line, and I have tried almost all every flavor. But as a professed junk food junkie my viewpoint may be a little skewed.

Velvet Cloud was the second vendor I tried. I started out wit 50/50 from somebody else that was fine, but I wanted to branch out. I found the 100% to be no problem at all. Not wicking problems in my stock EVOD and big, big flavor. There is not much YH if that is important, it is not to me. At least in the 4-5 flavors I have tried. Even the one I don't like (yet) has flavor to spare.

My fave by them - Carmel Swirl. Wonderful right out of the mail. Still waiting for Mewlew, which wasn't ready at 3 weeks.

You had better luck with Kanger heads than I did. Love VCV but both it and The Vape Kitchen were thick enough to air lock Protanks until I started rewicking with cotton. Now it's smooth sailing. Mewlew is slow going but worth it.

Hmm... I didn't have any problems with stock Kanger wicks on my single coils. I also just returned to Mewlew after two additional weeks and I think I like it aged at about 1-2 weeks rather than the 4-5. It's still great, but I think the flavor popped a little bit more with only 1-2 weeks of steeping.

I'll give you an idea of what it's like at my house so you understand the sample size I'm talking about. I have almost the entire VCV line loaded in Protank 2 Minis at my house right now. A good majority of them were prone to dry hits and airlocks until I fixed the wick. YMMV is not lost on me but that's how I wound up where I am.

It took a long time for some reason for my tastes buds to come around to Mewlew. Campfire has been my favorite chocolate from them until about a week ago. My bottle of Mewlew shipped on 4/1 and last week I was finally digging it.

I wonder if the dry hits are because the liquid has been sitting in the tanks too long? I find that 100 VG does gunk up the coils quite a bit, so maybe a simple cleaning would help. (I'm sure you thought of this, but I posted it in the interest of other readers, too.)

About the VCV lineup: I'm right about there with you (excepting tobacco flavors). I picked up mine about mid-April and they've been sitting in their bottles as I work my way through a too-extravagant liquid buying spree from multiple vendors. I'll get there in time, but I should probably taste the flavors to see if they're ready or not... :?:
