I tried VG, just for the sake of doing so. Kamel, Cowboy, and Cola so far. Not a huge fan really. Vapor is/can be MONSTER, but flavor just isn't there. Not that it isn't present, just isn't the bang you would be used to. These weren't premium carts, just regular. In my personal case too, i kind of felt using VG carts to be "dry".

I have found my favorite vape to be a mixture of PG and VG at 30% to 40% VG. At that level it produces tons of vapor, but still thin enough to drip well or refill a cartridge. Since I don't buy commercial liquids anymore, I can't tell you what my favorite flavor is, but I can tell you that the flavors I have made with this ratio all tasted pretty good.

From what I understand, you should never vape 100%VG because it is too thick. The recommendations I have seen is to dilute it with distilled water or pure grain alcohol to a 90/10 ratio, with VG being 90.

I have the vg banana from v4l and dont notice much difference with it other than it takes a bit of time to soak into a blank carto. I almost always add about 5 ml of vg to my v4l liquids to make them produce more vapor. Its such a small amount it doesnt dilute the flavor much but gives just enough vape to keep me satisfied.

8 months into vaping I developed a horrible itching rash and purple/red skin discoloration, mostly on my arms and chest. I don't think it is an allergy so much as an overload to my system.

A few points to consider:
I didn't drink much water
I am a very heavy vaper 2+ml a day or 4 cartos
I had changed my vaping style to HV juice and a 6v mod ( which may have accelerated the reaction )

My solution so far:
Quit all vaping for a month (yep ended up back on cigs)
Back to stock 3.7 and V4L XL batteries
VG only
Large amounts of Benedryl

That all started Nov. '09 I still have some rashing and the skin discoloration, but much improved. Now I am working my way back to vaping and have to kick the cig all over again ( about 6 a day ).

So V4L comes to my rescue with VG cartos. Well I didn't like the first order, they were to dry and didn't last very long and no th. I ordered some VG liquid to punch them up, not as much joy as PG but doable.

It is killing me to resist the new premiums and flavors, so I tried a few, nope rash kicking up again. I tried the reverse Taryn spin to drain them and added VG/distilled water mix, waiting to see if I can tolerate that. VG just doesn't work in the cartos very well, I think it may be too thick.

Sorry this is so long and I hesitate to post about this as I don't feel like being ridiculed. I am not a hypochondriac and I didn't imagine the welts and rashes. Maybe this will help someone else. I let it go to long as I didn't suspect the vaping at first as I had been doing it for so long a time.

You stopped vaping for a month, still have rash and roseatia, but PG is the cause - something that is metabolised in hours and the metabolites excreted in a day or a day and change?

What does your physician and/or dermatologist attribute that to?

Sher, I appreciate your honesty, and I'd be the last person to ridicule you for it. Adrenalynn may be right about the low % of people having an actual allergy, but a quick trip to our forum's health section will reveal a surprising number of related threads and posts. Search with "pimples" to see what I mean. Many of the writers, like you, ran into various problems, especially skin conditions, only after months of vaping.

As you may have already guessed, I now find myself in the same group. Three months into vaping (about 2 cartos per day, 18mg), small groups of pimples began appearing on my face and scalp. I hadn't had zits for years, so I knew something was up. For the past month, I've been drinking buckets of water and using gentle cleansers and moisturizers for skin and hair, and while my skin and hair look far better than when I was a smoker, the zits remain. Nothing terrible, but itchy and noticeable, like I'm 18 again.

I hadn't thought nor said much about it until I noticed my wife scratching her head oddly last week, with a few tiny zits suddenly evident on her face. She began vaping a month after me, and now three months in, she seems to be following in my footsteps. For the first time, we discussed our situations last night and decided that I would begin an all-VG vaping diet for the next two weeks to see what happens. That's why I've been researching VG flavs and whether or not V4L will be coming out with prem VG cartos in the future. I may be a prime customer!

After two days of vaping VG, I know only that the PG flavs taste much better to me. Man, I already miss my CCMF and SGA and Kant and... but I need to figure out this skin problem. I'm nowhere close at all to giving up vaping (and no more cigs ever again! no way, no how!), but I want to experiment and learn how to help myself, my wife, and maybe a few others here. I'll post an update here in a week regarding my VG progress in case anyone's interested.

Meanwhile, I'm hoping more folks will share their thoughts about VG, including which flavs I might order. Now, I have only Cowboy and Mint, which seem rather blah but vapeable. Great vapor, but not much TH or flav. But we do what we gotta do, eh? :D

Benedryl + Nicotene = Equilibrium?

Do they cancel each other out or turn you into a zombie? Benedryl knocks me out, and too much nic makes me tired too - even though it is supposed to be a stimulant.

What kind of VG do you use to dilute? The same flavor as your liquid? I also have the VG banana cartos and can't tell much difference. Just wondering if there is a plain VG to dilute with or are you talking about the glycerin?

other things can cause allergic reactions too. New detergent or soap...etc. PG is in A LOT of stuff....a very small percentage of the population is allergic. You could also be allergic to the flavorings used in a particular juice.

I hate VG..it tastes like donkey spit. And I don't feel all that comfortable vaping it 100% mainly because there hasn't been as many studies on inhaling it compared to PG.

Because vaping doesn't have much research done on it, any little symptom we get we think vaping caused. I am guilty of this too.:)
