I received this post today about burning out atomizers:
At 6 volts of power based on an 801's 3.8 resistance factor you are in affect pushing 9.5 watts of power at it. Higher watts means a shorter life span. Since quality is not the same in all attys, you could get one to last a month or it could last a couple minutes.
Just as a side note at 6 volts the 901 is handling 10.9 watts and the 510 is at a whopping 17.1 watts being pushed at them. I would limit the 6 volts to the 801 which should handle it better than the 901 or the 510. Just remember these are like light bulbs sooner or later when you flick the switch they will short out.
I hope this has helped.

If this is true, why do I get more throat hit off of the 801? Plus, my 801 is the only atty I've burned out using 6v. My 510 and 901 are still working just fine in 6v.
Also, I get a great throat hit with the 801 using 3.7v. But, the 510 and 901 I hardly get anything. I'm using the silver bullet and 24mg liquid.
Any recomendations?
