For the same reason they make 200mph sports cars and 1000$ mobile phones. Hardly anybody uses their full capabilities but they so darn nice to have.
Perfect comparison! I remember the days of big block muscle cars and though we hardly ever pegged them at 120 or 140 ( fixed ), it was a lot of fun going 0 to 90 in nothing flat!

Tickets, what tickets? My driving record is perfect, of course I am 57 and not 17 now ;)

I am probably never going to buy a 150 to 200 Watt mod ( never say never ). The highest I've ever pushed my Sig 75 is 60 watts and I have since gone all the way down to 20 to 24 Watts and .5 Ohms.

thanks, im nervous about using the .15 nickel coil on the sigelei 150tc at temp 450 40 jouls with the two sony vtc4. it vapes great but the batteries last about twice as long as 1 did in my evic s at 27-30 watts .5 kenthal coil. The evic would burn the cotton too fast coils would only last a 4 day to a week. im going on week two with the nickel temp mode and getting the same vape.

back to topic, so all of the battery exploding mods i see all over the internet are from running under size batteries?
sorta. They're really about stretching batteries beyond their capacity, no matter what this may be.

Don't be nervous! Unlike mech mods your Sigeli has safeties built in! It should safety out before you get anyway near a dangerous situation!

Not really, there is nothing the chip / a saftey feature can do to prevent the user from installing the wrong/insufficient batteries.

It is up to the owner/user to select appropriate batteries for the power range they intend to vape.

If what you say is true then why does my IPV4s say check battery at say 1/4 batt. left at 50 joules & about 1/16 left at 30 joules? Probably because it senses the batt. power is too low for the power demand! You're ABSOLUTELY right you have to get the proper batteries but I believe this gentleman purchased good quality batts. for his device!

maybe not all of them, but the good ones will throw an error to the screen or only deliver what the battery can handle

I think what he/she meant was that if I am a complete idiot and put in batteries that are only rated at 15 amps in my sig 150. If I have a 0.15 ohm coil in there and it is only running about 5 volts to get to my full 150 watts, it is going to be drawing over 20 amps from each battery when they are near the end of their charge. The batteries will have the voltage to try firing it, but they won't be able to safely deliver the amperage. At that point, since I have the voltage available to work, the mod would try firing. If/when the batteries let go from me running them too hard, that is all on me.

That is what I think he was referring to.

There's millions of items i would consider "nice to have" but i would be picking up cans and bottles along the freeway and washing strangers windshields at stoplights if i decided to actually buy all the "nice to have" stuff.

I buy what i need more than what i would like to have these days.

Which is not what this gentleman is doing.

Decent mod with a decent TC coil with good batts. I don't see any issues with this rig! Thank you gentlemen for explaining what not to use & why but he seems to have gotten something right!

Tank on a hybrid mech = doesn't end well

I always get my batteries from RTD.
They are as reliable & trustworthy as recommended to me over 2 years ago.

Dual battery mods have less sag at the same wattage in the upper useable range.
I like 80W from my Crown tanks & Velocity so I always use a dual battery (now triple) battery mod.
It works for me, the clouds just happen.
I tried 165W with my .34Ω Velocity build. It works but it's not something I'd do everyday. Hot stuff.
I'm 55 not 25 and I don't even own a flat brim cap :)

I ordered 2 black RX200s on Friday for under $100 with free shipping. Received them today.

I only ended up getting my Sigelei 150W TC in due to what allot of people have said already longer battery life. Myself I have found that I have never really gone above 45. I also wanted a unit that was versatile with other tanks and all the different things that are out there. Really though in true reality I usually vape around 28 to 38. When I can go and charge up my batteries and not worry about charging them for three days that was what I wanted. Allot of people will say its so big and its bulky to carry around but I have no problems with carrying it around all day with me. Hope this helps some.

If you are using coils the size of Scammell wheel nuts and you have asbestos lungs, then you probably don't need 200 watts
Brake pads used to have asbestos in them
hang how many CDs from her Scammell wheel nuts?

Google is so confusing sometimes ;)

That's so freakin' cheap! And why does Fasttech remove the verification sticker? Something shady this way comes!

Sadly, nothing shady.

It's effectively price protection and re-seller protection.

I bough an Inno*** product knowing it would arrive with half the manual removed and all authentication deliberately and shabbily vandalized.

It stops some people shopping where the brands don't want them to shop, and saves face for the Chinese manufacturers. A win, win for everybody....
