Again, not getting the whole picture. That 150W for $50 is more than likely using some type of cheap knockoff YiHiCigar Chipset while that 200 Watter is more than likely using an extremely Sturdy well built with Top Shelf components made by Evolv! Odds are it's a dna 200 which is money well spent and will carry a warranty if produced by a reputable assembler like Dana...

I do partly agree with you, but some warranties are barely worth the paper they are written on in the mainstream e-cig industry. Evolv make good products. Would I trust Volcano (for example) to 'put me right' in the event of something going wrong? I don't know.

One can either take the attitude - I'll take my chances OR I'll pay more and get a warranty.

So far, for me, paying more has never worked out. All my sigelei mods still work as good as new. Cheap but seemingly reliable.

I do see the whole picture, I just don't trust brands, especially the likes of Volcano. If I thought I could buy a $300 regulated mod tomorrow that would last a lifetime, I would do it. No brand has proved their worth in this regard. That's what I've learned - happy to be proved wrong, of course.

I AGREE 100%... I don't care ... unless it is a mech mod ( I don't use mech mods BTW ) I consider it disposable... like an android phone... I may get a year or two out of it... but its going to break, or stop charging eventually.

I owned a Provari... loved the quality of vape compared to every other mod at that time... It broke. My MVP2 I got for 40$ never did... The old MVP still works perfectly 2 years later. The price to repair the Provari isn't worth it.

I ordered two Releaux RX200 mods at 41$ a piece... one will sit on the shelf, one two use. So for 82$ I am getting a lot of bang for my buck and the comfort of a backup mod... 249$ would get me the new provari radius that could break in the first hour. A warranty is nice ... even an extended warranty... but you cant slap a tank on a warranty to vape it... you are looking at 2 weeks without a mod... waiting...

Yeh, I do agree with ya. Being my ever Ambiguous `Self I was meaning more, or less, the North American and European Manufacturer's, as opposed to the maker's in the Far East and knockoff artist with super low QC.

It am new to vaping but starting to think like you.

Warranties in this space are almost universally terrible and technology changes so fast that there is really no point stockpiling more than a couple of good mods and a backup.

Th ability to buy a seemingly solid and full featured 200W TC mod like the RX200 for under $50 is pretty awesome. I just ordered a RX200 and will order another if I like it. If I get a year out of 2 $50 mods, I am super happy as I was spending $3k a year on smokes.

For me a 3 x 18650 battery mod like the RX200 is a great thing to have even if I generally vape at 10-15w with 1.2ohm+ coils and 30-50w when subohming. The battery life alone is worth the $45 I paid for the mod.

Absolutely, and well said! If you want a bullet proof mod get a mech and realize you will need to live without some features. There are Reo owners that will be vaping the same sqonkers 10 years from now. A warranty on an Istick is just ridiculous. I find the MVP 3.0 pro to be a decent bullet proof VW mod but it isn't bullet proof for everyone and it lacks a lot of bells and whistles. For price VS features the RX200 really cant be beat for around 50$ or less, it has a great form factor and its good looking to boot...
