Is it a personality conflict or what? Actually it only happens with a smok rta and a smok rba. I'm using the preinstalled coils and wicking them myself. Am I putting too little or too much cotton or is this more involved than that? Some of the popping sounds are really loud and occasionally it spits a tiny bit of liquid out at me. If anyone has any clue what I need to do to fix this I'd really appreciate it.

Ok I was getting ready to Renwick them so I can change the flavor so I'll try using more cotton. If that doesn't work I'll turn up the watts. I'm just worried it'll pop even more if I turn up the watts.
Turning up the watts should vaporize it quicker. Do you use cotton or rayon?

Cotton should swell a bit when it gets saturated with juice. Put plenty in just don't distort the coil so that it pulls the coil out of shape. What ohms and watts are you using?

Maybe try to up the watts before rewicking to see if it helps.

The ohm is .15 and the watts were at 42 on the Smok rba g2. I turned it up to 53.4 and it stopped popping and spitting. I'm not using the Smok rba in the baby beast right now but when I do I'll turn up the watts and see if that stops it from popping and spitting.

I get sizzling and small pops and cracks on Rayon wicks at 10W if I hit the fire button without drawing air through the coil. Air flow may be part of the problem as well as wattage for the wick and coil size.

If it's heat that causes the problem you will see less popping if you increase air flow. Cotton wicks expand as they absorb juice. Rayon wicks tend to compact and shrink slightly so they need to be really tight when first installed. Both wick types should contact the coil completely and snugly with no air gaps where juice can pool.
