Why aren't the Admins following the rules they have created on the ECF Forum?

I am a newbie to this site but not to vaping. I found this site through other sites and conversations with fellow vapers.
The feedback I have been getting has been negative about this because of there its rules. I have been told the rules are stricter than being in the military. Despite the negatives I decided to give it a try. I have begun to believe the negatives to in such a short time.

I wanted to see what is being sold on classifieds. There are rules to even seeing classifieds first of all but you have to be verified. ok no problem. There are 3 choices you can choose to get verified. The easiest choice is to have a verified paypal account. cool! I fill out the form and submit it. I get a message back from a Admin the next day stating that I need 20 post. WTF!!! There was a choice of options not must do all three. Ok I want to talk to the Admin. WTF! no reply button! Why can't I reply to talk to an Admin? I thought site was about helping & educating people. Why can't I talk to the people who are rejecting me? Seems like the Admins want to be GOD and don't choose to talk to the people who are making the site popular.

Atrix, I am sorry you are having a hard time but it does say you need 20 posts before you can request to get verified. As far as wanting to speak to one of the admins did you pm them?

I have to disagree.

I have been kicked out of at least 50 tropical fish forums at different times over the past decade.

I sighed up here well over a Month ago and have yet to have any problems.

These "rules" are in effect here to ward off spammers and protect members from getting scammed in the classifieds.

So far they seem pretty effective.

I don't think the administrators want to be Gods, I think they just run a tight ship here.

This forum has one of the largest participation rates I have ever seen. That tells me MOST folks don't seem to have to much of a problem with the few simple rules they have in place to keep things on the up and up here.

The rules for the classies may seem kind of strict but I think some people got seriously ripped off so that's why they made it this way. It drove me nuts too until I figured out why. Get 20 posts and then try it. It took me overnight for it to go threw if I remember right. Getting verified just makes it so that if you buy something and pay a person say 500.00 bucks for it (like a GG) and they never send it after you pay than ECF can let the cops know just who they are. It really is designed to protect you. Yes the forum rules are strict. I even got spanked once for cursing. My husband had a field day with it because I am not the type to get into trouble but I do like the clean language used here so I don't have a problem with it. Sorry your upset with ECF but you don't have to participate if you don't want to.

Rather than entertain the rant lets just say that the rules are in place to protect the membership and trust me we do enforce the rules very well here.
If you have any doubt of that feel free to check out the refugee camp over at VF or read the threads over at NV about the big mean Nazi's that moderate ECF.

Site Feedback is where it happens, and it looks like it's happening, to me

The situation with the Classifieds had got to the stage where people were coming here to rip off our members, with several frauds a month. So the decision was made to make it harder for misuse to occur. More security always equals less functionality, it's just the way it goes.

You have to defend against attackers otherwise you have nothing left in the end. Don't blame us, please.
