Recently i rebuilt two bottom coil atomizers because every time i refill with e juice taste bad, i bought wick and wire to do a test and the taste still horrible, then i rebuilt one of my Halo clearomizers with the same wick and wire i did purchased and the taste was completely different, taste like a brand new Halo clearomizer without any problem. So in other words the wick and wire i purchased was fine, why the taste is so bad in those bottom coil atomizers?

I now have a total of 13 BCC's (16 if you count the three I've given/loaned to friends).

Not one of them has produced a leaking, vapor production or flavor problem that wasn't caused my me doing it wrong.

I've used stock, factory coils and those I have built myself. I've used silica wick at 1mm, 2mm, 3mm and cotton wicks rolled to 2.5mm. I've also used 30 and 32ga Kanthal A-1 resistance wire.

Maybe your personal preference is for the warmer vapor and different experience of the top coil systems. That's fine. It's all a matter of taste.

But maybe somewhere along the way, you did something wrong with the BCC's.

Have you:

Cleaned the tanks and coils to rid them of any manufacturing oils or residue?

Checked to make sure you aren't frying the coils with too high of a voltage?

Checked the resistance of your rebuilt coils to insure that they are not too low?

Made sure that the flavor wicks installed across the top of the coil are intact and working properly?

did you check your resistance on new coils?

What is the bad taste is like a burnt like its burning to hot?

You also said you rebuilt them did they taste alright when you had stock coils?

I find bottom coils taste better then top most times ( I have not tried the Iclears though)

my rebuilt BCC are in 2.4 OMH and i did soaked the complete unit 2 days in alcohol, but the taste still the same but IBCR Media you did point some very interesting thing here, My BCC don't come with top flavor wick only the wick attach with the coil, maybe if i place a second wick... This BCC are manufacture by 7s it only has the wick attach to the coil, maybe that's the reason the e juices are putting in those tanks taste horrible, because they don't have the top wick flavor, i am going to test with the second wick, thanks. and vjc0628, the wicks don't taste burnt just bad taste, thanks
