I enjoy the vaping thing immensely, but still have about 4 - 5 analogs per day. What is my problem? I use a 510 with 24 juice. I just seem to "miss" or, for curiosities sake, need to taste an analog on occasion. I smoked about 2 packs of Camel wides per day and started vaping about a week ago...

Usually, after an analog I ask myself, why did you do that, didn't it taste awefull...

Need some help here, as I'm already feeling better, but want to say goodbye to the analogs...

Go easy on yourself budster! You just cut out 35 cigarettes a day and you feel bad that it wasn't more? Talk about your overachievers! But seriously, you sound like some of the people I've heard on the forum who say that eventually, the smokes just started to taste gross and they ended up not wanting one... just give it time - that'll be you soon enough.

Don't be too hard on yourself...just get rid of the analogs so you can't easily go to them when you crave them..Once you make it past two days it gets a lot easier...

Buy a 6V mod, throw away your remaining cigarettes and when you feel like a cigarette blast your body with vapor. In my experience the addiction from all the additional alkaloids (I'm assuming that's what it was) diminished substancially after a week or so when I had no cigarettes and it was much easier!

But on the flip side, think of the harm reduction you have already achieved from your 90% cut back in cigarettes! It's all down hill from here

Wow you're doing extremely well for a 2 pack per day smoker! That's amazing. You should be proud of yourself, don't be so hard on yourself. Quitting is extremely hard and most people can't even fathom the idea of weening down from 2 packs to 4-5 cigs per day. Like everyone's said, it does take time. I'm still smoking a half of one per day. I too feel the need for a real cigarette, which I think is just a mental habit, because it's not a CRAVING so much as a "a cigarette would be nice right now" and also, just keeping a pack around on hand can make it hard to drop them completely. That's my first and biggest problem, having them around. Keep it up! Your body will thank you.

It took me about 2 weeks of vaping before I totally dropped analogs. The last few days the extreme desire for analogs was only in the morning while reading the paper and drinking coffee. Then 1 morning I just decided I didn't need the analogs any more. Don't sweat it - it will happen. Pressuring yourself is counterproductive.

I seen shows on tv where they put "additives" in cigarettes to make them more addictive. I don't think I'm missing the nicotine, I think I'm missing these stealthy additives!

I truely believe that I was more addicted to all the cr_p they put into cigarettes than I am to nicotine.

budster - Don't fool yourself. Quiting smoking is going to be difficult. Very Difficult.

For me vaping only eased the process. I tried to smoke 2 or 3 analogs a day thinking it would be easier when I finaly quit analogs. It wasn't. It only prolonged the torrment.

If you want to quit smoking, do the one tried an true techique. Don't smoke a cigarette today. There just has to be a day where you say, No, I'm not going to smoke a cigarette today. Vape your head off and raid the frig every hour. Just don't smoke a cigarette today.

Take it one day at a time. You don't have to quit for the rest off your life. You just have to go today without a cigarette.

It's going to be ugly for about a week. No real way around it. But it does get better.

Hang tough and you will make it.

You just can't make a blanket statement like this. Maybe this was true for you, but for many of us we picked up vaping and quit smoking just like that. For MOST people it will be relatively easy to do within a month and quite painless. Assuming that they have a good PV and high enough juice (mine's 24mg).
