First of all, many people need a while to drop them completely; there is a learning curve to vaping, one might not get enough nic in the beginning, or not enough supplies yet, etc.

The other thing is, there is more in cigarattes than nic, and about 20% of all vapers find they can't go without some form of tobacco. However, about every other form of tobacco is better than smoking cigarettes. And since vaping takes care of the most pressing need, that is nicotine, smokeless tobacco does the trick for many of those. Have a look at the smokeless section of the forum.

You just can't make a blanket statement like this. Maybe this was true for you, but for many of us we picked up vaping and quit smoking just like that. For MOST people it will be relatively easy to do within a month and quite painless. Assuming that they have a good PV and high enough juice (mine's 24mg).

Wasn’t trying to make a blanket statement that fits all people. Was making a comment to someone who said they smoked 2 packs of Camel Wides a day and is having a hard time not smoking. Perhaps some people can quit analogs cold turkey with vaping and as you say, “it will be relatively easy to do within a month and quite painless.”

I’m just not too surprised when a person tells me that they smoked 2 packs a day and are having a hard time quitting.

The main thing I want budster to know is that he is not alone with having difficulty. And that there are others who have been Exactly in his situation and it has worked for them.

I agree, many people struggle to give up the last few analogs so the OP is definitely not alone, but most people are able to do it painlessly within a month or so (80% of vapers) so OP should just give it time and let it happen. That's all I was saying: if it's a painful struggle to quit, find a solution to make it easier - that's what e-cigarettes are all about IMO.

That's why I said that assuming the right PV and strength Nic. I am just worried that folks will be lurking here and wondering if e-cigs will work for them and a statement that the first week will be a struggle and to hang tough sounds a lot like all the quit-smoking plans I tried before. E-cigs CAN be so much easier and CAN in fact be painless for most people.

One more post and you will have 1,000. Congratulations.

Budster; Try a stronger nicotine strength - like 36mg. At least until you kick the addiction to all the analogue additives.
Personally I've found it disruptive when I've smoked cigarettes and Vaped. It seems to confuse my system into thinking it needs it ALL.
Jump up to 36mg, and maybe a stronger e-cig or mod to crank out more vapor. In the mean time don't beat yourself up.

Best thing you can do is just hang in there. I was one of the lucky ones - able to quit the same day I started vaping. I won't say it was "easy" because that wouldn't be true, but the PV helped me with the cravings. At this point, almost a full year later, I would never touch another cigarette no matter what. I think you may want to try a stronger juice or maybe a 3.7 device and see how that works for you. At any rate, you're doing great so don't give up! =)
