Why can't vendors label juice correctly?

never had a menthol cig that tasted like mint

LOL I'm still confused. Menthol is the compound in mint plants that gives the cool feeling and numbness. It's extracted from mint plants and is used as a flavor additive for cigarettes, cough drops, etc.

I think maybe what people are looking for is a menthol tobacco flavor if they're looking for something to substitute a menthol flavored cigarette. In the context of e-cigarettes, I can see where that could be kind of tricky... some suppliers could just think of "menthol" as a menthol tobacco flavor where the tobacco part is implied and some could simply be flavoring juice with menthol crystals .. which is what people are probably describing as mint?

I guess anyone could pretty easily DIY with some pure menthol crystals to get the answer they're looking for.

they just know that their is a market for menthol and I guess its a hard flav
so they sell what they can to make money

many people buy it

and I'm sure some menthol smokers quit smoking with mint flavs
I mean its better then smoking but I know there are true menthol flavs it just takes so long and money to go through the vendors to find the right one

fortunately for me menthol has always been an occasional thing not an everyday for me
Me too, menthol isn't at the top of my list. I remember when I started and all the tobacco flavors back then tasted like when you got a piece of tobacco in your mouth instead of puffing on one but after stinkies went past $5.00 a pack I refused to pay that much to the gov. for my right to smoke so I stayed with it. Now you can get pretty good tobacco flavors and stinkies taste like....well let's just say bad.
BUT, there is no excuse for labelling a mint as menthol.

Yes and you can get nicotine from potatoes but I sure wouldn't want that flavor if they ever had to use nicotine from potatoes. Mint is mint. Menthol is menthol. Whats confusing about that? Menthol crystalls don't taste like mint and they're not labeled mint chrystalls.

^I think they're use to the burnt paper flavor that is in cigarettes. Not many cigarette companies actually use tobacco leaves. They extract the alkaloids from tobacco, and spray it on paper to be cut up for distribution in cigarettes... I guess look for mint+paper?

No they're used to menthol. They're not used to mint.

Mint I.E., Mentha ?

Just get some menthol crystals and you'll be good. I don't think any vendors are trying to lie to you. I was just trying to get to the bottom of wether you were looking for a menthol cigarette/tobacco flavor.

I know!!! I gave away so much liquid because it was advertised as menthol! Menthol and mint are NOT the same! I finally found Mr. Eliquid and their menthol has no mint and is good...takes about a week of steeping. I agree again! They are not the same! lol

Tracey

I attended the Tampa Vape Convention today and found a VG supplier who does a menthol (from menthol crystals). I haven't 100% decided if this is a winner for me, but it is menthol and not mint.

Alpine Frost is the menthol ejuice, but they also sell a bottle of menthol to add to other juices: Kind Juice | KINDJUICE| High quality – All Organic E-Liquids for Personal Vaporizers
I thank both of you. It's nice to see there are venders that are concerned with accuracy.
