For the experts,

Every time I put on a new or old (not too old) LR Cisco 306 atomizer, I would get consistent throat hit and good vapor production and then it starts to go down hill after one day. The solution that I've found was to blow from the battery end to take out the excess juice, then I put it back on my Reo device, add some juice and VOLA! it starts to work at top performance.

I don't want to take the atomizer off and blow on it after one day of usage every time since some of the excess juice gets on my lip and fingers. I know that these LR atomizers are hotter than the standard ones, therefore you need to keep em wet but now I am starting to doubt that claim. The 510 LR atomizers (Cisco) are different, consistency lasts for about 4-5 days before dropping off in performance, then you would have to do the "blow" procedure to get it back up to top performance or do the weekly maintenance on it (boiling water, etc you know the deal).

So, what causes this to happen? Anyone have a similar experience?

For me, I find that an atty loads up with juice sometimes, and its a good idea to blow it out real good, and then add 3 to 4 drops. Whats nice about that 306 is that you cannot really put too much juice in it, but again, I find my attys load up and get flooded. Hopefully more will comment for you.

That is the problem with Low Resistance Atomizers, you always have to keep them wet or they start giving off that burnt taste and the atomizer itself won't last long. When the performance dropped off, I always thought it was my batteries but that is not the case anymore.

If your LR atomizer is not giving off its peak performance due to flooding,I found a temporary solution to this and it may only work for bottom feeder users,

- Leave the LR atomizer on your bottom feeder (Ex. Reo Mini), suck really hard through your drip tip for 1-2 seconds and you will hear a slight pop or gurgle, and proceed to do this 4 to 5 more times. Don't do this if your reservoir cup is filled with juice because you might (rarely) put juice into your mouth.

- Push the bottle to bring up the juice to the atomizer and stop pushing until you see the juice in the connector holes. If it was harder to get the juice to show up at the holes, then you did it correctly. If the juice shows up easily like before, then the atomizer might still be flooded.

This is working for me so far. Let me know if you have a better solution.

Thanks,

- Louis

Btw, I noticed that the title of this thread is misspelled, can a moderator change the "Why" to "What" please? :p

This may sound as your atty is flooded or feels 'clogged', but strictu sensu; so to speak, it is due to 'saturation'...

Give your atty a daily blow...

Try to find a nice "vaping rythm"; giving your atty time to deliver the liquid before re-dripping; or dripping less when you are 'vaping hard', etc... Eventually you'll be able to master the art of direct-dripping and wont need the daily blow...

dell77's got something there. My atty's were good for a couple of days then started dropping off. I tried the water cleaning method which helped a little, but still wasn't a clear draw. Soaked the atty's in high test rum for a few hours. Swirled them around once in a while. Blew through the battery end onto a towel. Got caramel and red color out of there. Swirled and blew on them some more until the clear rum came through. Air now passed relatively freely through the batt opening. After drying they vaped like new again.
