Congratulations dcinky. It really is a ..... to try all the different ways of quitting only to find such a simple and cost effective way to actually do it. Like you I tried the patch, the pills, hypnosis, & cold turkey. Nothing worked. Like you I've had a heart attack after which I had to have an ICD put in, Same with the bronchitis and COPD,ever since I was a kid, usually twice a year, at the beginning in the summer then again at the start of winter. I started to smoke when I was thirteen. I wish you continued good luck.

very interested to hear what the dr. tells you i'm very excited for you and you have great people around you helping you through it. kinda makes me tear up a little. I always figured one day I just wouldn't be able to move anymore and just wouldn't be able to breath. my grandfather died of lung cancer they gave him 6 months and he lived 5 more years but it wasn't really living, he didn't leave a bed for that 5 years. I am so glad you found an alternative

I switched at the age of 60. I had been diagnosed with COPD and headed down the road you just talked about.
Sinuses have driven me craze now and then but in the last 2+ years (almost three), I have not had a bad cold.
So glad you made the switch and Woot to your daughter.
If your doctor is anything like mine, he is going to love the change in you!!!
Congrats!!!!
