It seems to me a bit like selling an inkjet printer with no ink. I find it strange that two items that are so integral together would not be sold as one single product
It probably depends on where you order them from...but all the atties I'VE ever bought DO come with the carts. If you're just looking at a picture on a website, they're not usually SHOWN with the cart attached.
And, you can always just rinse out a cart, they certainly aren't disposable items!
I'll try that, thanks for the suggestion. Shouldn't really have to though, as it is such a minuscule thing that would leave the user feeling like the retailer was going the extra yard to please it's customers.
You can always reuse the polyfill from other carts if you want to..just take it out, run it under water, (I'd suggest doing it with a pair of tweezers) and squeeze it dry with a piece of paper towel, (why, on EARTH, some members suggest letting them dry overnight, is a mystery to ME..), and you're set.
they come with the blanks solely to help protect that end of the atty...not for any real intended useable purpose...you can always add your own filler...at least they're complete blanks and not just some totally unuseable plug of some kind...I do find it odd that they put them there to help protect that end (from getting squished or misshapen or whatever) but there's nothing in the way of protecting the threads...
The carts last a long time, so you don't need a new one for each atty.
What might make sense is to get new filler material with each atty.
But they leave that up to you. Probably too complicated since people
use many different types of filler material.
My situation is that I have ordered two 4081 attys to try out, first purchase, and I therefore have no carts. In order to buy carts, it involves extra postage as it is a different 'category' of item. No big deal, but it rubs being that two carts would weigh zilch and not even effect the price of the postage. Yet two single carts increase the price of postage by 30% from £1.99 to £2.89.
There has to be something wrong with that? Hence my suggestion.
My guess is that if the cart had filler in it . The primer would be wicked away from the coil, leaving it unprotected and, at the same time, fouling the filler.
