Sounds like your b&m is selling you his opinion not catering your experience to you my friend.
My iclear 16b came with my MVP 2 and it's bottom coil made by Innokin
Thank you.. the last purchase I bought ( before my MVP 2 ) was the twist the vivi tanks and 1.8, 2.4 and 2.8 attys .. I want to buy a buch of 2.2s ( or something close ) as it seems like a perfect medium.
The local guy told me either the MVP 2 or the provari would be my best choice as a battery, but they seem uncertain or uneducated on everything else, so thats why Im coming back here, as you guys and gals have helped me more than I can explain.
If I could find the BEST liquid to a marb light I would be all over that in a second.. So if anyone has any recommendations I'm all ears! Smoked about a pack a day. Is 16 mg to high?
Well Currently I have been on and off vaping, for the reason posted in the title.. I have a Ego C-twist and a iTaste MVP v2.. All of my liquids are for the most part 70/30 16 mg, and alot of the times When I take a hit it almost burns.. Sometimes it makes my lungs hot/hurt , other times its just a uncomfortable hit.. I use this chart as a reference for voltage.

I will say this.. and its weird.. The c twist and my original 3.6v non adjustable joye ego battery ( usually used as a backup ) seem to have it happen all the time, while the MVP it only seems to happen every so often, or with certain liquids.
Am I doing something wrong? On the c twist, when it started to burn my chest I would dump and clean the tanks ( vivi nova 2ml ) and the atty ( anywhere from 1.8-2.4 ohm ) let dry, then let a new liquid soak in and it still does it.. try a new atty, and still the same result.. I put it in the MVP at the same voltage of the twist ( on a 1.8 ohm atty, usually run 4v )
I have random 2.8 attys that actually hurt/burn less with a lower voltage, even tho I was told to double the ohm to get the correct voltage . ( ie 2 ohm atty, run 4 volts )
I reaaalllllyyyy want to continue this as I like vaping and all the different variety , but when it actually hurts to do it, its not any fun..
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks
Matt
Dandreid had a great link for "Inhalation technique with an e-cigarette", very important to get a good vape.
That said all of your toppers, even if they are the same ohms, with taste a bit different, have a bit different heat...adjust your voltage to whatever you like. Then look to see what the voltage is set to, so you can reproduce it....Don't get hung up on numbers.
a new 1.8 ohm atty reading 2.1, is normal, quality control is somewhat lacking in the manufacturing
Which dual coil tank do you have. Dual coils can be top or bottom coils. The iClear 30 is a dual coil that is a top coil where the Kanger Aerotank is a bottom dual coil. Just a couple examples. Again top coils are hotter. The coil is closer to your mouth.
the only dual coil I have is the 3 ml tank that came with my MVP
Light Blend - Tobacco
There is you perfect marb light juice my friend!
As well I had Alot of the same issue until I switched to a 50pg 50vg blend haven't had the hot hits since.
Also as stated before voltage is a personal thing start at lowest and slowly work your way up till you find your flavor sweetspot.
Also as stated above if you prefer a cool vape as I do bottom coil tanks are best I used the iclear 16b with my MVP. Also prefer Aspire BDC tanks bdc stands for bottom dual coil

Thanks man.. Soooooo many options out there it almost gets overwhelming at times!
Does it have long wicks hanging or short hard to see wicks
;long wicks
The batteries you have are good solid devices. Your problem is the juice delivery system (topper) and/or the juice. This is like a dance. It can take a while to find the combination that will work for you. I would put my money into finding the right topper/juices that will give a better taste and experience before you spend big money on a higher end battery. Your twist is good; your MVP2 is one of the best regulated low priced batteries you can buy.
thank you.. I saw the reviews of the MVP , and it seemed to be very well reviewed , much better than the twist, or the ( newer ) version "Vision that our local shop sells... Maybe I was a sucker, as I wanted to buy the vision, but was talked into the MVP.. yea the Ohm reader is nice ( I dont know how accurate it is ) but is very nice .. Actually one question on that when I hold the P/U button it will say A - 2.0, U/3.8 ... Isn't that "U" voltage? I thought so, then I will long hold my U/V button and it will say Im at 4.0 ... Im confused
Couple of things. First, with a top coil clearo like a vivi nova, be sure you tilt and swirl to keep your wick wet, especially as the liquid gets lower in the tank. If that wick gets dry, you will get a harsh, burnt taste. How often are you changing the heads in the clearo? When I was using those I needed to replace the heads once or twice a week, depending on the juice and how much you vape. If you are still struggling to stay off regular smokes I would be hesitant to lower your nicotine. I started on 24mg and worked my way down to 12 over the last 8 months or so. Yes, you get more throat hit with higher nic liquids, but it doesn't matter how nice the vape is if it leaves you feeling like you still need a smoke. You might consider trying a cartomizer tank. IBTanked makes a good tank for a good price. Many find cartotanks to be more consistent than clearomizers. There is a slight learning curve to properly priming a carto, but it's pretty easy to figure out and a good, consistent, low maintenance vape once you have it set up. Here's a link to IBTanked if you want to check them out, and a link to Baditude's blog to using cartotanks. Look it over, it might help. Good luck!
I change my atty/head about once every 2 weeks.. I vape like I smoke.. about every 30 minutes .. I reaaaalllly need to stop going locally and need some tank atty/head suggestions.. I have a descent battery but need to try different top/bottom tanks
When you press either the p and the u button the display that comes is the a which is your ohms meter follow by your batterys charge voltage 4.2 being fully charged and goes down from there drops to yellow light at 3.7
With the mvp the u button controls voltage
the p button controls wattage
You have to hold one or the other down first the puff counter will come up the as you keep holding the setup is next
Ahhh yes the battery voltage.. Sorry.. I forgot about that... I was thinking when it said 3.8 , that it was my vaping voltage.. but yet when i did a long hold my vaping voltage was different .. wow... I am so far behind the game I feel sorry for you people trying to explain the basics to me after they see a member who has been here for 4 years
Sent you a pm my friend
