Why do my Carts keep burning? Pic Inside.

Hello all.

I havent posted much but i have lurked for a long time.

Anyway, I had this problem with the reg size carts, So this order i ordered the XL carts. But im still having the same dam problem.

At first i thought they were running dry, Because after a battery or 2 i kept getting that nasty burnt cotton taste. Only way i can describe it.

I just pulled one of the XL carts apart because it started tasting like i was smoking cotton. And all the way at the bottom where the little wire does a few raps around the inner core its burnt! the wire raps which make like a coil and then a single strand runs up the cart was burning the center tube.

When i went to grab the cotton material that hold the liquid it was about dripping wet. I sqeezed it between my fingers and got 3~4 drops of liquid so its plenty wet.

Am i overfilling them? is it better to run a little dry then a little to much fluid in?

What kind of device do you use? How high do you have it set at? Whats ohm cartos are you using? Its kind of hard to answer your question without that info. Thanks

there the only cartomizers you can use with a halo ecig.

There the long battery std voltage and the std cartomizers Halo sells.

there arent any diff cartomizers to my knowledge

The picture is of a Cartomizer that started tasting like crap, So i used tweezers and pulled the cotton out, Then from the other side i pulled the center section out. The cylinder mesh is whats inside the cotton. Its Mesh -> 1 wrap of cotton -> 2 wraps of thick cotton. Only thing not shown is the 2 wraps of thick cotton.And the wire that wraps around that piece of burnt crap is inside the mesh.

its happening to all of my carts and this is getting really expensive.

I am about to dump halo all together. My carts arent even lasting 1 battery, no matter how i fill them.

If i put about 5 drops in a brand new cart, let sit overnight and use it it starts tasting like smoking cotton after 1 battery, If i put 3 drops in and let sit it lasts about 1 battery before it tastes like cotton

If i put a crap load of juice in (8+ drops) it does the same thing.

I just spent $70 on 2 new batterys, juice and 2 packs of XL cartomizers and already 1 pack of carts are ruined.

How is this saving money over smokes? at least they don't taste like smoking freaking fiberglass (unless you light the wrong end)

i think me and Halo have reached a parting point. Halo carts suck. And its not like im using them incorrectly. over the past year i have probably spent $200 with halo, i coulda bought a VARI for a little more

So you have a G6 they also have the element that they sell. Do have the manual or automatic battery? Could it be misfiring without you knowing? They also have the anti burning filling so they stop it from burning so Im alittle confused myself. How many drops are you using to fill them with? The XL will take more than the regular so lets say you put 20 or more drops in a regular you should put more into a XL. I found these:

I see you also say in your last post if you put ALOT about 8+ drops in a new carto thats not nearly enough it takes 20+ for a brand new one and like I said you are usiong XL so its going to take even more than 20+ to fill that so you arent filling them up at all hardly. To top off 8+ drops would be ok I would think. When filling the cartos new they should hold aroun 1.0ml of liquid.

Holey crap if i put more than 10 in mine, using the normal drip, wait wait drip wait wait drip. There's fluid all over

The batterys are manual, the automatic ones would always either stay on after puffing or go off without even using it. causing the cart to burn.

I dont understand, When i took the cart apart (the one in the picture) i could take the cotton and sqeez it and get drops of juice, i put the drops back in the bottle.

How much more wet can you get it?

I quess Halo is just not the brand for me then.

I cannot find a middle ground with these cartomizers I just took one that was previously soaked with about 10 drops, I tried to add more and it just waste's fluid it seems.

And how am i supposed to take one with me around during a normal day and be contantly refilling it?

These things either burn super easy, or you put so much fluid in its like taking a .... hit. bubbling sounds, then EJuice all over ur tongue.

I dont know you have been using it for a yr? It says it takes 1.0ML to fill a new cartos not a XL up you have to five the juice time to work its way down the cartos put 10-15 drops in let sit for a few minutes add 10 more and so on. The carto will aborb it up and any extra will drip out the bottom. Do u fill using the condom method? Try that also to fill. Heres a vid on how to do that. It really just sounds like you arent filling them enough. Try this method and see if it works. It can only get better and not worse.

Try it out and post back how it went just sounds to me your not filling the cartos enough. With only 8 drops a couple hits and it would be dry I would think.

Don't be scarred to overfill. You can always blow out the excess into a tissue. I can usually get 20 to 25 drops in
