OK...I've lost the link but I was on a site the other day and they were cutting a small slit in carto/clearos like the 510 CE2 (don't know if these are the ones they were using) to use in their tanks. I think I like the idea.
510 CE2 PLUS Clearomizer XL

I love my EVOD so is there a bottom coil made like the CE2 that would work inside a tank? Thought about trying a nano just to see if it would work but I don't want to dump one.

Reg cartos have filler....why do we need filler in a carto if it's inside a tank? Wouldn't it taste more pure without it?

LOL. Just a newb asking questions? Thanks for any input!!:D

Cookster....does that have filler or just the wicks? Is it made internally like the ones I linked?
Thanks

Does anybody know which tank/site I'm talking about? Would love to go back and peruse it a little closer.

No filler...already punched, and made to be used with tanks

The point of the filler material is to control the amount of juice feeding into the carto. The CE (no filler) style tank cartos are pretty much exactly like a clearo, in their operation. On most clearos you have the little replaceable coil head, with the CE style cartos that little coil head is simply housed inside of the carto body. This means it uses silica wick to transfer (and control) juice from the tank to the coil.

I'm one of those people who hate silica wick in most instances, and have never been able to get a consistent vape out of anything that uses the wick+ coil setups, so regular cartos are preferable to me. I know there are many other people who feel the same way, which is probably why most use regular cartos in their tanks instead of CE style cartos..

But you always have the option to buy CE cartos for your tank, but it would seem to just make more sense to buy a clearo (Stardusts, VO BCCs, Evods, Protank, etc) in the first place, instead of buying a carto tanks and then trying to make it into a clearo, if you get what I mean.

Although, now that I've seen they are starting to make clearos with SS mesh wicks (I'm still on the fence as to how those would actually perform, I could see them flooding like crazy) I wouldn't be against giving a CE style carto a try that uses SS mesh, it seems like a good match.
