Let me start off that I'm not saying one is better than the other. I personally prefer dual coils. I like bigger clouds and I make my own juice so flavor is always there. When I do make single coils they are huge coils that are comparable to a dual coil anyway. I'm just interested why you prefer single vs dual coils? Enlighten me!

Do you really get that much larger clouds?

I prefer single coil attys.

Lower Juice consumption
Longer battery life.

I'm about staying off the stinkies and not trying to impress people.

Yes I get much better clouds and a more satifying vape for me with dual coils. I'm not trying to impress anyone either.

There is no right or wrong answer.

Its all about doing what is necessary to stay off the stinkies.

What really ticks me off us these young Bucks that never smoked but blowing clouds like they are in a cloud comp.

Just simplicity. I started building on Kayfuns and igo-L and have stuck with that type. I've tried some dual coil builds, but most of those devices are STL types that just don't fit my style.

I also still rebuild Protanks coils and Joyetech CLR coils and those are single coil devices.

Well just to let you know I am not a youngster. I'm an old man. I agree if you want to toodle vape or blow huge clouds or anything in between do so. I'm all about freedom of choice.

If a single coils works for you why bother with duals?

If a single coil tripped my trigger i would never have evolved to where i am now
i started with 34 gauge worked my way to 28 single coils was never enough then tried (succeeded in) putting dual coils on single coil rta's (kayfuns) noticeable improvements yet still lacking needed better attys so moved on :D I chain vape (similar to how i smoked i hotboxed the hell out of cigs to down a 100 in 2 min or less)

I used to prefer dual coils to singles back in the mech mod era, ohhhhh a couple years back . To get the watts I wanted back then I had to run low enough resistance and duals helped with that.

These days I vape regulated exclusively. With these resistance doesn't affect watts so that's out of the picture. Yes, wire gauge is a huge factor, but I generally like the robustness of thicker wire. But my opinion on that has changed over time too :)

These days I use both dual and single coil builds depending on the atty. My two favorite atties right now are the Rose V3 and the Boreas. They are very different beasts. The Rose is a single coil atty I've currently got set up using 28 gauge Kanthal at 1.5 ohms and vape it between 15-20 watts depending on the juice and my mood. The Boreas is a huge atty that IMO needs dual coils to work well. I've got a 24 gauge build in it right now at 0.25 ohms I vape between 35-40 watts that gives me absolutely exquisite flavor. I'm pretty sure I could tone down the Boreas for a bit less power and tone up the Rose for a bit more, but for now I like both where they are. I also really like my Aqua V2 with dual 31 gauge Kanthal coils at 1.3 ohms between 14-18 watts.

IMO you can get pretty much the same clouds, flavor and TH from both single a dual setups ... but not in the same atty. It's really atty specific. For me the number of coils don't matter, they are just different ways to get a good vape if they are done right.

So I guess I prefer both single and dual coil builds. I know, I'm weird
