It takes about 6 hours a piece to charge both of my Spinners. I've just read a post that says it should only take an hour. Is there a different charger I should be looking into? I have the charger that came with the package from My Vapor Store, so I know it's the right charger. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My eGo Twists (joye) are 1300 mAh and they take about 5-6 hours.
I use the wall adapter/USB 420mAh charger.

One factor can be age.
The older they get the longer they take to charge, plus dirty contacts are an issue too.

Although an eGo should last about 300 charges I find they die a little after 6 months of regular usage.
That equates to around 150 charges.

it appears that your charger is the fast charger, 500mah. so youre good there. clean the contacts like mentioned above. use rubbing alcohol to do that.

another key bit of info would be the wall adapter youre using. some wall adapters only put out half an amp, some 1, some 2. using a higher rated wall adapter might help if youre not doing that already.

my chargers are all the 420mah ones. i use 1 amp and 2 amp wall adapters. typically the 1300mah spinner i had would take 4 hours from death, although i rarely let it die. its always best the charge before death to prolong the lifetime of your batts. ideally, you want to charge at 50% to get tip top lifetime. but thats not always practical. i typcally charged after a couple hours of use. but occasionally id let it die from use. cant always be super vigilant.

I don't have a meter and if I did I wouldn't know how to use it. Lol

a mutlimeter si a great vapers tool, however they are useless on the spinners ans twists to determine battery capacity. only batteries without regulators can be measured on a multimeter. if you try to meter a regulated batt, all the meter will read is whichever voltage you have selected. if the batt is unregulated, youll get a reading of what the voltage is because an unregulated batt has no way of adjusting voltage.

It takes 18 hours to charge one of my 2000mah 18650 batteries. I have a Trustfire TR-001 battery charger.

wowzers! thats a long charge time. however, there is benefit to long charges. the longer your charger takes to charge your batts, the less stress your batt receives, therefore prolonging the lifetime of your batt.

The charging rate of lithium cells is relative to cell capacity. Charge and discharge capacity is rated in "C". 1C for a 650mah cell is 0.65 ampere. 1C for a 2000mah cell is 2 ampere.

At 1C it should take roughly 42 minutes to bring up a cell from ~30%, regardless of size.

The chargers sold for our batteries are usually the one-size-fits-all kind. They won't blow up your 350mah batteries or charge your 2000mah batteries quickly. I've seen chargers (can't remember which atm) that do up to 1 ampere, and would charge your bigger batteries over twice as fast as your 420mah USB charger. If you want any faster charging, you're probably looking at "intelligent" hobby chargers. As far as I know, there's no readily available setup for using one of those to charge more than one battery at a time. You'd have to DIY something and still wouldn't have the convenience of adding and removing batteries as they're done.

There's a few on amazon that have 2.1 amp output. Would that be too much output? Here's the link:Amazon.com: amazon usb charger

2.1 amps is fine. it might not be any different than your current charger however.
your charger itself is 420mah (the 420mah and 500mah are the fast chargers).
your wall adapter is 500mah. as far as i know, you need your wall adapter to be at least as much as your charger in terms of mah. most cell phone, ipod, and portable video game adapters are 1000mah AKA 1amp, and at the least 500mah. so you should be fine there. to speed up your charging try to find a 500mah charger. i think health cabin has em. lots of places have em but not all list their specs. im not an expert so i cant tell you for sure if upgrading your wall adapter will help. it might. but the sure bet is getting a faster charger. but all in all, you ar enot having an abnormal experience. the big batts just need time to charge.

oh, and if you are using a power strip to charge, perhaps plugging the charger directly into the wall will help. and unplug appliances that arent being used. i have no idea if this is affecting your charge time, but i do know that my home lights dim if there is a lot of drain happening at once. you might be experiencing something like that in your home.
