Why hello there, couple questions have I

Finally found my way here after a ton of videos and wanted to say hi, and have a couple questions.

So, I am looking into vaping as a way to curb cravings for sweets and soda to help lose weight. I have never been a smoker and have no desire to consume Nicotine, at least until I look into it a bit more. I am looking into getting some sort of PV that is all about the flavor. So far, I have found things like the Big Dripper clone and the Aspire Atlantis for the atty part and the IPV Mini v2 Limited Edition 70W mod. My primary question is, do you experienced vapers know if this setup would be ideal for my needs and if not, what would you recommend? Also, the whole battery issue is...confusing to say the least.

Anyway, thanks for checking this out and keep on helping to educate people about the benefits of vaping and safety. I know I have been preaching the power of vaping as a non-smoker or vaper and will continue to do so:D

Hello and welcome!

I've been vaping for about 3 years, make my own juice etc. So I like to think of myself as a more "experienced" vape user. My current all day setup is a Sigelei 150w with the Mutation X v2. I personally prefer clouds along with good flavor. However, a close friend of mine was looking to buy his girlfriend a vape and she like you has never smoked. So I helped him get her new setup yesterday. We got her the IPV Mini and Aspire Atlantis, just like you were thinking. She loves it! The Atlantis is an amazing tank and gives a lot of flavor. If you decide that you do want clouds along with your flavor just get a higher VG juice (produces bigger clouds). So personally i think the setup you have in mind is a perfect choice!

I hope this helps! Vape on!

Sorry. Not much help for recommendations, but I wanted to say welcome, and I have a couple questions.

I did smoke, and am new to vaping. I've noticed I vape much more than I smoked. I vape when I crave a cigarette, but also when I crave a snack. How has the weightloss worked out for you? My biggest fear about quitting smoking was gaining weight. I definitely need to lose some weight, and wonder how this is working for others. Have you found a particular flavor that really does it for you?

If you've never smoked it's hard to say what you would like.

The Big Dripper is a rebuildable so I would rule that one out unless you want to get into battery safety, Ohm's Law, amp draw, ect AND wrapping your own coils. Not something I would recommend to someone who has never vaped before.

The Atlantis is EXTREMELY airy, not good if you are a mouth-to-lung inhaler. It also mutes flavors (compared to other clearomizers I have used). The Aspire Nautilus is much better for flavor IMHO.

Hello shindou and welcome to the forum. For batteries I am using the eleaf 50W and I really like it. It is an all day battery (4400 mah), charg port is on the side (pass through) so I can vape while it charges and don't need to have a battery charger. I'm using Nautilus Mini's and the flavor is amazing. My next step with this mod is sub ohm tanks but I have no experience there as yet.

I was determined to not gain weight when I quit smoking. I was really surprised that I am actually losing weight. The vape has greatly curbed my cravings for sweets. As a former smoker I now question if my sweet tooth was related to the muted taste buds when I smoked. I switch flavors throughout the day.

Good luck in your journey.

+1 on the Nautilus for someone just starting out. Paired with an IPV mini or an eleaf Istick 50 you'll get plenty of vapor and flavor. Finding a flavor you really like will help. My first "flavor" eliquid was a caramel vanilla custard. My second was a chocolate and peanut butter. Between both of those, I had no desire to eat sweets after dinner (those flavors were just SO good) and lost about 15 pounds in the first three months of vaping. I've leveled off there and like my sweets so I eat them sometimes and my weight is maintained (and my pants fit better :) ) I've found the more you like your vapor, the less junk you'll eat.

istick and gs air or a kamry and kanger nano, both have great vape and flavor, for a beginner I would go with istick and the gs air

I've been vaping for almost 3 years, after smoking for 20. I've also helped a few friends start vaping - and i think the key is to keep it simple at first - you can always get into more advanced things as time goes on.

That said - i would agree with those above that suggested the Nautilus on a simple device that you like. I think you should go to a local vapeshop try some flavors and some devices and go from there. One of the best things about vaping is that there are so many options out there that with a little research and hands on trial you can find something that you like, even if someone else doesn't.

I am vaping Banana Nut Bread right now, no calories. In the evenings my wife will have a small piece of apple pie, I will vape a piece of apple pie.

On another note, I really did not get good, clear flavor until I moved to better mods and tanks. In quitting smoking, I made it into a hobby and I eventually found the flavors. A lot of trial and error with juices, too. All in all, not the cheapest answer.

Hope helps

Also, the internet is a LOT cheaper to buy than in a vape shop.

Hi I was a smoker for over 30 yrs and while not putting weight on I found was spending quite a bit on vaping, purely coz I wanted to experiment with different coils, set ups and obviously making my own juices lol but have found that I am saving quite a lot on juices so it evens itself out, whatever the cost keep off the cancer sticks!!!

Thanks for all the advice, I plan on not actually inhaling for a while, thus avoiding the potentially minor lung harm. I was kind of looking into a Nautilus or Nautilus mini, but was a bit concerned about the ceramic wick used in the Mini seeing as I couldn't find any definitive information on the safety of that stuff. The only local shop I have pretty much deals in super SUPER cheapos like eGo's and then straight to RDA's. Of course I LOVED the taste off the tester unit which was a .2 build on I think a mech mod...but I have no desire to go that deep just yet.

My question about batteries is which to get. From my research, the best I can find are like, purple Efest's. Thoughts on those and perhaps suggestions?
