Is it possible it needs to be steeped or aged? Some juice that is made fresh gets better with some aging.

I would guess that is exactly the problem. Try letting it sit for a couple weeks and give it another shot. I'll bet that takes care of it most of the time. When a juice shop fills the testers, there is no telling how long it sits and "steeps" before it gets refilled.

what do you try the liquid at the store in? is it in your tank? how might that tank be different? is it on your PV or one by them? how is that different? there are a number of factors, it may be the need aging, but it may also be you are trying off of something better (maybe worse sometimes something good on something not great doesnt taste as good on something better because well, the subtleties come out) or a better set up?

my eGo V V2 at the same volts as my svd with the same tank... tastes like blegh compared to the svd... everything is the same, liquid, tank, volts, ohms, etc... but the svd just tastes better...

the shops have a simple carto system. at home i use a kanger 2 tank with ego twist.

why wouldnt shops just sell the juice pre steeped. i have no patience to wait a few weeks but clearly dont have a choice. all of these recently purchased juices will sit.

on a somewhat related note, what is up with backwoods brews Casablanca, applewood, malty and malty toffee? wow are they bad. casa and AW have a very similar undescribable funky taste to them. also, bobas bounty doesnt live up to the hype. im hoping a few weeks of steeping will change all this

so first off, they may or may not be presteeped, if they make their own, it may or may not be pre steeped, if they sell through a different vendor... insert popular liquid you could find anywhere here... it is steeped...

i have not experienced this first hand however i have read that cartos offer superb flavor compared to clearos...

I'm willing to bet that if you get the same simple carto system and run a few fills through it, the taste will be nearly the same. Clearos are notorious for muting flavor in my experience.

I generally find this to be the case -- the stuff in the testers has been sitting there for a while, and like a fine wine, juice improves with age. Take the cap off and put it upright in a bowl with some hot water. Keep the water hot (not quite boiling, don't wanna melt anything). Put it in a drawer for a few days, repeating the hot bath every day or so. In about a week it should taste better.
