Can't believe you guys missed that it was a .2 coil that a shop built for him/her. You guys are slippin... smh
I'm sort of new to the world of RDA's, so I'm probably missing something. So far I've had a .4 ohm dual coil on my Mutation X, and the drip tip got incredibly hot after a few vapes. Now I'm rocking a .2 ohm dual coil, and it's even hotter. I got someone at a shop to build it for me to see if they could see what was wrong. But I have all the air flow holes open, and this thing has airflow like CRAZY. Any idea why the hell it's getting so hot? Should I invest in a drip tip that's not made of metal? If so, what kind should I get? Preferably a wide bore one, I like those airy draws and big clouds.
Edit: This is all off of a regulated Sigelei 100w, even at 30w it still gets hot.
It's kind of amazing to me. The vape shop I go to most often will have 5 or 6 customers looking for a build within a couple of hours on a Saturday. I think .5 is as low as they go, but it's the mentality that I guess I don't understand. To each their own I guess. 1/2 of them have messed with the coils since the last build, and they are all janky, lopsided, bent, pulled apart, and CRUSTY! What's the point in having a superior performing atty and then using it like that... lol anyway. Off topic.

Late on this post, but I would recommend the Cherry Vapes Cloudchaser drip tip. Obviously appearance is a preference, so I can't really tell you it looks good (even though I think it does, depending on the RDA). It is wide bore, choice of black or white delrin, friction fit (no o-ring, press fits into almost every atomizer), and is about $10.
