Why is my kanthol red?

Can you post a picture?

Is the juice you are using colored?

Is the actual wire red or did it have a build up of red gunk on it?

I would recommend changing out your coil at least once a week depending on what you are using it in. If you are using it in a RBA then it probably could be changed out every two weeks or so, but in a rda I would change it out weekly. coils are easy to make and take no time installing.

Kanthal is an alloy that includes iron so it could be rust. I have never seen this myself but I usually recoil every 2 weeks.

Edit:
Just read that Ethyl Malto has a high affinity for iron, forming a red coordination complex.
This could explain why some people see the red Kanthal and others do not. I don't use Ethyl Malto in my DIY ejuice and I'm sure there are variations in the amount used in commercial ejuice from zero and up.
