I still new and have a question about the difference between PG and VG

My impression is that PG seems to be the default Glycerine used in the majority of ready mixed juice.

But further reading on these forums indicates that VG gives more vapor, and I also keep coming across posts where some people report throat irritation when initially taking up vaping and are advised to use VG instead

So my question is why isn't VG the default/standard glycerine in all juices??

Any ideas?

Thanks

Glenn

where do you find the veg vg that is usp i have looked everywhere?????
Some (not all) Wal-Marts have it. Look on the counters in front of the pharmacy. It's a 6 oz clear plastic bottle, labeled Glycerin Skin Protectant, brand name Humco.

The contents are listed as Glycerin 99.5% Anhydrous. My bottles have a slightly different label than the photo. In my case, one store in town didn't carry it, and another one did. It's probably the larger stores that do carry it. You might save a trip by calling first.

Pg gives better throat hit and vg is sweet on it's own, lending an unwanted sweetness to some juices and is very thick if not thinned out.
I'm voting for this.

Although there certainly does seem to be a shift in progress.
Mixtures of PG and VG are far more common, seeking the best of both worlds.
