Why is this e-liquid so nasty?

I got down to the final bottle of my most recent order. Steeping was done ultrasonically the day of delivery and all the other flavors before this one tasted just fine. This one is nasty despite sitting on the shelf for about two-weeks. It's supposed to be a tobacco blend but it tastes like medicine and black licorice. I ordered this flavor in 100% VG but it's viscosity is closer to water. Even though the bottle is even labeled "100% VG" I'm wondering if maybe they accidentally filled it with PG instead. Or maybe it has waaaaay too much water in it. I'm not sure. I just know that it tastes bad, is harsh in the back of my throat and when I try to power-toke to get a huge cloud I barely get any vapor despite the harshness. I even thought my tank could be going bad so I purchased a new one and filled it up only to be greeted with disappointment. Any guesses?

I've never steeped ultrasonically but I do know that with most NETS or any tobacco flavor really that you do usually have to let it steep for a lot longer then your other flavors. If you don't mind me asking what flavor was this and who did you order it from

Edit: oh and I forgot to mention that with 100 percent vg your going to get less flavor then if you had pg in it same as throat hit

I ordered from ECBlends. I also got their "7 Leaf Tobacco" in the same order and it tasted just fine. Come to think of it, I accidentally ordered the 7 Leaf at 100% PG and not only was it a thicker liquid but it vaped a hell of a lot better than this stuff. I can draw until the PV times out and still barely blow out any vapor.

Edit: I also poured some Cell Block 4 into it to tame the flavor. The CB4 is around 80/20 PG/VG. It sunk to the bottom of the bottle.

Well 100 percent vg is of course going to be pretty thick no matter where you go. I would recommend finding a balance. Most use 70/30 or 50/50 I personally like 60/40

True. Exactly why I'm so perplexed about this especially soupy bottle that's supposed to be 100% VG.

Edit: I find 100% VG, or worst case 20/80 PG/VG most fulfilling to me.

TBH, the great prices at ECBlends lured me in once. The thing about 100% VG juice is that it can be difficult to produce right and I wouldn't recommend buying it from vendors that aren't known for good VG juice. Also, if you want tobacco flavors, I would recommend you buy from vendors that actually use tobacco in their flavors, of which ECBlends is not one.

Unfortunately, there are not many instances where you can have both great flavor and cost effectiveness with ejuice. I'm okay with spending a little bit more on juice that tastes amazing. Some people are more concerned with being cost conscious.

I'm having a hard time finding 100% VG in the flavors that I want. I've combed over so many sites, found something interesting only to discover that the drop down menu on the order page doesn't give that option. This happens through vendors that tout their sales of 100% VG too. Discouraging.

Sounds to me like they got the 2 bottles you are talking about mixed up.

All of those above were in the same order and tasted great from day one. I always save the tobacco blends for last. The "7 Leaf" was 100% PG. It was fine in flavor and vapor production. Really didn't even notice I accidentally ordered it in PG until I was about halfway done with the bottle. Then, when I moved on to the 100% VG "Tobacco Blend" I nearly choked despite barely blowing out any vapor. It tastes like licorice and pencil shavings with a medicinal tinge. Kind of gives me a weird buzz too. This was my last bottle and I keep telling myself not to vape it, then I crave nicotine and do. It's really watery too. Never had such a watery looking VG before.

Maybe they diluted the VG too much. Pure VG (99.5%) weighs in at about 1.26 grams per ml. Run-of-the-mill VG contains about 14% water.
Means any density less than 1.2 grams/ml means you're long on water and short on VG...

Good tabacco flavours are hard to come by anyway. Have to give El Toro a try when I got a not-so-few $$ to spare...
